It’s a very profitable business for app developers as the possibility of earning money while having fun attracts millions of ad viewers worldwide.
Here at My Room is My Office, I have reviewed hundreds of such mobile applications with the mission to warn users about their safety and legitimacy.
In the past few years, I have encountered an incredible number of apps that cause extreme anger and frustration.
The reason is that most of them were designed to maximize profits off of people’s gullibility.
In this post, you will find a complete list of the most popular game apps separated into three categories:
- Get paid per minute of gameplay.
- Get paid to install games and hit goals.
- Earn virtual tokens and cash in the game.
Not only that, but I will also reveal the likelihood of receiving payments based on my experience and hundreds of user reviews on Google Play.
So, we will classify each app into three categories:
- Unlikely to pay: Unrealistic payouts, lots of complaints on Google Play/App Store.
- Hit-and-miss: There are many positive and negative feedback regarding payment.
- Likely to pay: Realistic payouts and most users seem to get paid with no issues.
IMPORTANT 1: It’s important to note that you can only earn credits for games you have never played. Therefore, installing and playing the same games through any of the reward apps on this list is pointless.
IMPORTANT 2: All of these apps and games are 100% free.Â
Get Paid Per Minute of Gameplay
Apps in this category will offer you a list of sponsored games you can install and play on your phone.
By granting access to your device’s usage tracking, the company will monitor your playtime and give you coins per minute.
Once you collect a specific number of coins, you can cash out via PayPal and/or gift cards, depending on the app.
The rate of pay depends on your country, but most apps will pay you very little money.
It’s important to understand that there is a cap on the number of coins that you can earn per game. Besides, the more you play, the fewer coins you will earn until the rate of pay drops to zero.
At this point, there is no other choice but to install a new game from the list to keep earning.
The list starts with one of the most popular apps in this category:
MistPlayÂ
- Developer: MistPlay Inc.
- Minimum Payout: $0.50
- Payment methods: Amazon, Google Play, Visa Prepaid
- Eligibility: US, Canada, the UK, Singapore, and some European countries
- Likely to pay
- Read the full Mistplay review here.
With over 10 million installs on Google Play, Misplay is one of the most popular loyalty app for gamers.
It will give you points called units you can redeem for Amazon Gift eCards, Google Play gift cards, and prepaid virtual Visa.
Mistplay stands out from other similar apps simply because they do pay out. One user said he earns $10 every couple of weeks and always receives the payment within 48 hours.
JustPlay
- Developer: JustPlay GmbH
- Minimum Payout: N/A
- Payment methods: PayPal and Amazon gift cards
- Eligibility: Worldwide but not every country
- Likely to pay
- Read the full JustPlay review here.
JustPlay is a relatively new app that rewards you for playing unique and casual games.
The company provides cashouts every 24 hours via gift cards, as well as PayPal, so you get paid regardless of how much money you have accrued.
However, you need to complete the progress bar before you can receive the money. The catch is that you never know how many minutes of gameplay will yield one coin!
You can expect to earn anywhere between a few cents and $4, depending on how much time you put in.
PlaySpotÂ
- Developer: SBA GmbH
- Minimum Payout: $20
- Payment methods: PayPal, Amazon, Google Play, and bank transfers
- Eligibility: Worldwide
- Likely to pay
- Read the full PlaySpot review here
Playspot is another extremely popular app that pays you to discover and play cool games. However, different from Mistplay and other apps on this list, you will earn coins every time you pass a level. The app also provides other ways to earn coins, such as app offers and videos.
By completing offers, you can collect a bulk amount of coins and cash out faster. However, the high minimum payout of $20 means that you will have to be patient.
From what I can see, most people redeem coins for PayPal and eGift cards, but not everyone has the same luck.
FunTap
- Developer: FunTap.io
- Minimum Payout: $20
- Payment methods: PayPal, Amazon, Google Play, and bank transfers
- Eligibility: Worldwide
- Hit-and-miss
- Read the full PlaySpot review here
FunTap is almost identical to PlaySpot, and as you can see, even their logos are similar. You will also earn coins by completing levels, and the minimum payout is $20.
The major difference between these two apps is that FunTap receives a lot more complaints. Some people claim the app contains malware, but if that were the case, I believe Google would have banned it a long time ago.
After reading lots of reviews, I can see that many users struggle to collect 20,000 coins. So, I would choose PlaySpot over FunTap.
QuiCryptoÂ
- Developer: nukes
- Minimum Payout: N/A
- Payment methods: Bitcoin and Litecoin
- Eligibility: Worldwide
- Likely to pay
- Read the full QuiCrypto review here
Do you love playing games and want to earn some cryptocurrency while having some fun? Look no further than QuiCrypto!
This decent app makes it super easy to earn crypto by completing simple tasks right on your phone.
With over 500K installations on the Play Store, it has attracted a legion of game enthusiasts who are also into crypto.
This reward platform is going viral! Cash out via PayPal, Visa, Gift Cards, and in-game currencies - Click here to find out how to generate an extra $10+ per day!Â
Â
And the app’s partnerships with various advertising and market research firms mean there are plenty of opportunities to earn rewards.
One of the coolest features of QuiCrypto is the PlayTime tab, which allows you to earn points simply by installing and playing sponsored games.
Unlike other apps, QuiCrypto encourages you to complete a 6-step tutorial before you can fully access the dashboard.
But don’t worry. It doesn’t take long for you to complete the mission and become eligible for the first payout.
Currently, you can choose between Bitcoin and Litecoin!
Coin Pop
- Developer: JustDice GmbH
- Minimum Payout: £1
- Payment methods: PayPal and eGift Cards
- Eligibility: Worldwide
- Hit-and-miss
- Read the full Coin Pop review here
Coin Pop is a reward app operated by the German company called JustDice, which owns the next couple of apps in this category. They all work similarly, which is why certain things you will read about the next apps may look repetitive. Nevertheless, I tried to include additional information, but everything you read about one app applies to the other as well.
Just like Mistplay, the more you play a specific game, the fewer coins you will earn. You can always check how long you must play the game in order to receive coins in “My Apps.”
Unfortunately, many users don’t have a positive experience with Coin Pop regarding payments. Many of them complain about missing payments.Â
Keep in mind that if you try to use Coin Pop on another device, you may lose your coins.
Cash Alarm
- Developer: JustDice GmbH
- Minimum Payout: £1
- Payment methods: PayPal and eGift Cards
- Eligibility: Worldwide
- Hit-and-miss
- Read the full Cash Alarm review here
Cash Alarm works exactly the same as Coin Pop. Simply choose a game from the list and play it for a while to earn coins. You can find many genres, such as strategy, puzzle, casual, and action.
Many people cash out multiple times and earn a decent amount of money.
However, lots of users complain about unexpected errors and missing coins. It’s hit-and-miss!
AppStation
- Developer: JustDice GmbH
- Minimum Payout: £1
- Payment methods: PayPal and eGift Cards
- Eligibility: Worldwide
- Hit-and-miss
- Read the full AppStation review here
AppStation is another JustDice app that claims you can earn money for every second you play their sponsored games. Depending on your country, you will have a decent number of games to choose from, which are updated daily.Â
As the app is operated by a German company, you will receive your payment in Euros. Some people have made over $100 just by playing games through AppStation, but it’s a lot more difficult to accumulate coins nowadays.
Just like Cash Alarm and Coin pop, AppStation users also complain about errors and missing credits.
FitPlay
- Developer: JustDice GmbH
- Minimum Payout: $1
- Payment methods: PayPal and eGift Cards
- Eligibility: Worldwide
- Hit-and-miss
- Read the full FitPlay review here
FitPlay is one of the most popular apps from JustDice, but it’s no different. I discovered recently that the company is asking for your photo ID before you can request the payment.
Some people are not comfortable with this requirement because they fear for their safety and privacy. I think those are valid concerns.
I tried to visit the official FitPlay website, and my antivirus blocked it, saying that it was not secure. So, the company should address such important issues, or more people will turn away.
App Flame
- Developer: JustDice GmbH
- Minimum Payout: $1
- Payment methods: PayPal and eGift Cards
- Eligibility: Worldwide
- Hit-and-miss
- Read the full App Flame review here
App Flame is another reward app that may or may not pay you depending 100% on luck. Although the app description says “guaranteed Payouts”, the Terms and Conditions state the opposite.
You can make money with App Flame, but don’t expect it will be a hassle-free journey.
Money RAWR
- Developer: JustDice GmbH
- Minimum Payout: $1
- Payment methods: PayPal and eGift Cards
- Eligibility: Worldwide
- Hit-and-miss
- Read the full Money RAWR review here
The only difference between Money RAWR and the other JustDice apps is the cute dragon logo. It provides the same opportunities, and you may experience the same issues when trying to collect coins or cash out.
Cash ’em All
- Developer: JustDice GmbH
- Minimum Payout: $1
- Payment methods: PayPal and eGift Cards
- Eligibility: Worldwide
- Hit-and-miss
- Read the full Money Cash ’em All review here
Cash ’em All is another app that can make it hard for you to redeem your coins for cash rewards. Lots of people have complained that they couldn’t cash out because of errors. Also, some of them report that the company doesn’t reply to their emails.
On the other hand, I have also seen many positive reviews from people who received the money.
The Lucky Miner
- Developer: JustDice GmbH
- Minimum Payout: $1
- Payment methods: PayPal and eGift Cards
- Eligibility: Worldwide
- Hit-and-miss
- Read the full Lucky Miner review here
The Lucky Miner used to be called “Lucky Miner” and had been installed over 1 million times on Google Play.
A few months ago, the company decided to relaunch the app as “The Lucky Miner”, which is why there are only 100,000 installs now.
The Lucky Miner has the same mechanics, rewards, and issues are their counterparts. Install the app for free and collect gold coins per minute of gameplay.
It seems like a simple way to make money, right? Well, until you get an error and all your coins are gone! But maybe you are one of the lucky ones who may cash out.
Happy Swine
- Developer: JustDice GmbH
- Minimum Payout: $1
- Payment methods: PayPal and eGift Cards
- Eligibility: Worldwide
- Hit-and-miss
- Read the full Happy Swine review
I believe the only difference between Happy Swine from the other JustDice apps is that it has a lucky wheel. When you install the app for the first time, it will let you spin 10 times for free and earn coins. If you want to get more spins, you must watch a video first.
Another important thing to mention about the JustDice app is that you can also earn coins by inviting friends. You just need to use the invite button through the app, select your friends, and send the message with your link.
You will get 250 coins per referral plus 25% of all your referral’s earnings.
Appster
- Developer: JustDice GmbH
- Minimum Payout: $1
- Payment methods: PayPal and eGift Cards
- Eligibility: Worldwide
- Hit-and-miss
- Read the full Appster review here
Appster is one of the least popular apps from JustDice, but the algorithm is the same. If you live in the UK and the US, you will probably find more games to install and earn a higher coin/minute rate.
When I reviewed Appster a while ago, I was shocked by the number of negative reviews on Google Play. You can give it a try, but there is always a risk of losing coins and getting errors when trying to cash out.
Money Kitty
- Developer: Kanbina
- Minimum Payout: £2
- Payment methods: PayPal, Amazon, and Google Play gift cards
- Eligibility: Worldwide
- Hit-and-miss
- Read the full Appster review here
Money Kitty is an Android app where users play games to earn coins, which can be exchanged for real-world rewards like PayPal cash, and Google Play or Amazon gift cards.
With over 100k installations and a 4.1 rating, it initially appears promising.
However, the app’s coins-per-minute claim is misleading, as earnings are mostly task-oriented.
While rewards through Google Play are promptly provided, the PayPal option has seen numerous challenges.
Users report prolonged waiting periods and, sometimes, no payouts at all.
Additionally, there’s the risk of disappearing coins, poor customer support, and lost rewards due to device changes.
Therefore, if you want to use Money Kitty, you should not set high expectations and avoid cashing out through PayPal.
Otherwise, you may lose all your earnings since the customer support is unresponsive.
Get Paid to Install Games & Hit Goals
These are mobile versions of the traditional GPT (get-paid-to) sites since they offer multiple ways to earn tokens.
Unlike the previous category, you won’t get paid per minute of gameplay. Instead, the opportunity is presented to you as app offers.Â
You must install the app and take specific actions on the game or achieve milestones. If it’s a mobile game, you may have to play it until you reach a certain level or score.
You can only be rewarded if you have never installed the game on your phone and you meet all the requirements.
FreeCashÂ
- Developer: Almedia UG
- Minimum Payout: $0.25
- Payment methods: PayPal, Gift cards, Crypto, game currency
- Eligibility: Worldwide
- Likely to pay
- Read the full Freecash review here
FreeCash is one of the best reward apps available for Android devices.
The “earn” section is jam-packed with 11 offer walls and five survey partners, providing a wealth of opportunities to earn money.
I appreciate the fact that FreeCash has categorized offers because it helps locate the ones we prefer.
For example, if your goal is to focus on game offers, you just have to navigate to “offer” and “game.”
What sets FreeCash apart is its slightly higher rewards compared to similar apps, a larger variety of cashout options, and low payout threshold.
You can exchange coins for cash (PayPal), Crypto, Gift cards, and even game currencies.
Rewarded Play
- Developer: Influence Mobile, Inc.
- Minimum Payout: $5
- Payment methods: eGift Cards
- Eligibility: the US and Canada
- Likely to pay
- Read the full Rewarded Play Review here
With Reward Play, you can collect points for reaching levels, making in-app purchases, and playing for a specific period. Once you reach 45,000 points, you can request vouchers for your favorite stores such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, and more.
Different than most game apps on this list, Rewards Play has an excellent reputation, as you can see in the review section of Google Play. Most users report receiving the eGift Card with no issues, which makes Reward Play a rare find.
TesterUp
- Developer: aestimium GmbH
- Minimum Payout: 70 USD, 70 GBP or 70 CAD
- Payment methods: PayPal
- Eligibility: Worldwide
- Hit-and-miss
- Read the full TesterUp review here
Touted as Germany’s leading platform for online tasks, Testerup invites its robust community of 3 million members to earn by testing products, apps, and websites.
The earning potential varies across platforms. According to TesterUp, Android users earn up to $120, while iOS users earn up to $800.
Here’s how it works: sign up, sift through available offers, initiate tasks, and monitor your progress.
Some tasks entail game trials or might prompt in-app purchases, while others partner you with research firms.
You can also boost earnings via their referral system, which pays 10% from your friends’ income.
However, reviews about this app are mixed.
While some have successfully cashed out, others are frustrated, with the app occasionally failing to track progress or, worse, not processing payments at all.
Some of these users are understandably upset, feeling cheated out of their hard-earned rewards.
Moreover, the high cash-out threshold of 70 GBP adds to the challenge!
AppNana
- Developer: Mapiz, Inc
- Minimum Payout: $10/£10
- Payment methods: Amazon, iTunes, Google Play, and other eGift Cards
- Eligibility: Worldwide
- Hit-and-miss
- Read the full AppNana review here
AppNana was launched in 2017 and has paid over $10 million for its members. You will earn Nana Points for installing and playing games for a few minutes. Also, they may require you to reach a specific level or score before you get credited.
Appnana pays very little money, and you may have to wait for months to cash out. Another downside is that lots of people are missing points and payments.Â
CashApp
- Developer: Free International Calls App, Ltd
- Minimum Payout: $5
- Payment method: PayPal
- Eligibility: Worldwide
- Likely to pay
- Read the full CashApp review here
CashApp is one of the most reliable GPT apps available on Google play. You will earn credits after playing and reaching specific targets in the game.
The mobile games are mixed with other app offers inside any of the three Offer walls: Fantastic, Awesome, and Wow).
As of writing, I found the game Rise Of Kingdoms: Last Crusade offering 9,472 credits ($9,47), which is an excellent incentive.
With CashApp, you can also earn credits for taking surveys, completing different offers, watching videos, and inviting friends.
Once you accumulate 5,000 credits, you can cash out $5 through PayPal and spend anywhere you want.
Bituro
- Developer: Bituro LLC
- Minimum Payout: $1
- Payment method: PayPal, Bitcoin, and eGift Cards
- Eligibility: Worldwide
- Hit-and-miss
- Read the full Bituro review here
The Bituro app gives you points for completing game offers from third-party platforms that you can find in the “task” section. To get rewarded, you must download the app and follow all the instructions.
Bituro also has a “Play” section where you can win a prize if you guess right tomorrow’s Bitcoin price.
Once you collect 1000 points, you can cash out $1 via Bitcoin and PayPal. Gift Cards are also available at higher payout thresholds.
Unfortunately, lots of people complain about missing points after completing offers and other tasks.
appKarmaÂ
- Developer: Darkfield Software LLC
- Minimum Payout: $10
- Payment method: PayPal and eGift cards
- Eligibility: Worldwide
- Likely to pay
- Read the full appKarma App review here
appKarma is a very popular reward app available for Android and iOS devices. There is a vast selection of app offers, which gives you points for installing and playing games until you reach a specific score or level.
What I like about appKarma is that they offer Karma Play Bonuses after completing an app offer.
It also provides additional ways to boost your earnings through scratch cards and badges.
FeaturePoints
- Developer: TapGen Corp
- Minimum Payout: $5
- Payment method: PayPal, Visa Prepaid, and Bitcoin
- Eligibility: Worldwide
- Unlikely to pay
- Read the full FeaturePoints App review
FeaturePoints has built a solid reputation until 2019 thanks to a large number of offers and generous referral commissions.
Today, you can still find lots of games inside one of the Offer Walls and earn points just like any other app in this category. Unfortunately, FeaturePoints seems to reward only a few lucky users, as I can see from reviews on Google Play.
Make Money Fast
- Developer: FL Labs
- Minimum Payout: $5
- Payment method: PayPal
- Eligibility: Worldwide
- Hit-and-miss
- Read the full Make Money Fast review here
Make Money Fast raises a red flag by its name, but it’s not one of those “get-rich-quick” schemes. It’s just another reward app similar to any other in this category.
With Make Money Fast, you can install game apps and earn points for playing and hitting goals. The cash incentives are usually very low, but some apps pay a few dollars worth of points.
What I dislike about this app is that users must provide their fingerprints to unlock the tasks. I don’t think biometric authentication is necessary for this type of app.
If that wasn’t bad enough, lots of people complain they don’t receive the payment.
PointsPrizes
- Developer: PointsPrizes SA
- Minimum Payout: $20
- Payment method: PayPal, gift cards, Bitcoin
- Eligibility: Worldwide
- Likely to pay
- Read the full PointsPrizes review here
PointsPrizes has partnered with many Offer Walls where you can complete game offers in return for points. You can redeem your points for a variety of gift cards, PayPal, and even Bitcoins.
There are many other opportunities to earn points, such as surveys, offers, and videos.
What I don’t like about PrizePoints is the high payout threshold of $20 (3,000 points). Another downside is the large number of people complaining that they didn’t receive points after completing offers and surveys.
Earn Virtual Tokens or Cash in The Game
These mobile games will give you virtual cash or tokens that you can supposedly be traded in for cash rewards.
You have probably seen adverts suggesting you can earn thousands of dollars and even become rich by playing the game.
Most of the games in this third category have been advertised as great opportunities to earn easy money. Don’t fall for the hype because you may not get paid!
A common issue people usually face is that their cash balance stops growing before they reach the minimum payout threshold.
What a frustrating experience for millions of people who just wanted time to play a game full of ads!
Before installing any of these games, know that none of them guarantees winnings and that virtual cash doesn’t have currency value.
Check the apps below and if you still want to use any of them, focus on the ones that are more likely to pay.

This popular sweepstakes app provides unlimited scratchers and other free games such as Lucky Wheel, and Lucky Knife.
It gives you virtual dollars and coins that can be redeemed for PayPal or Amazon gift cards.
Unlike most scratchcard apps, Lucky Time will transfer the money to your account once you reach $10. It’s one of the few apps of its kind that actually pay!
Lots of people have received the payment multiple times. However, many of them report errors after the third or fourth attempt. Nothing is perfect!
Winkel Play DailyÂ
- Developer: Winkel Limited
- Minimum Payout: $5 (Reward link gift card), $10 (PayPal)
- Eligibility: Worldwide
- Hit-and-miss
- Read my full Winkel Play Daily review
Winkel Play Daily is one of the few apps that actually pay for playing free scratch cards. It also allows you to take part in sweepstakes for a chance to win cash and coins.
There are two payout options. You can either withdraw the money to PayPal once your cash balance reaches $10, or you can exchange 6,600,000 coins for a $5 Reward link voucher.
The problem with Winkel Play Daily is that it doesn’t seem to reward everyone. Some users complain about getting stuck before they reach $10, which means they cannot request the payment.
GivvyÂ
- Developer: Givvy Ltd
- Minimum Payout: $0.10 (Revolut), $0.29 (PayPal)
- Payment methods: PayPal and Revolut
- Eligibility: Worldwide
- Likely to Pay
- Read the full Givvy review here
Givvy is a legit reward app developed by a company based in Bulgaria. It works a bit differently than other apps in this list. You can play the Tic-Tac-Toe with other members and get points if you are the winner. There is also the memory game, the calendar game, and the calculator.
You can also win points for completing surveys and inviting friends. Each survey pays only 300 points, which is a measly $0.02.
The main downside of Givvy is that these activities pay very little money. To give you an idea, lots of members report getting $0.29 after one month or so! Well, at least it pays!
Bitcoin Blast
- Developer: Bling

Bitcoin Blast is one of the few games that pay everyone. If you like the popular Candy Crush, why not earn BTC while playing a similar game?
All you have to do is match at least three coins of the same color. As you blast them away, you will get bling points that can be exchanged for Bitcoin.
Unfortunately, you cannot continue the game after you reach 1000 points in one day. That’s equivalent to just $0.01!
The good news is that you can withdraw this small amount instantly to your Coinbase account.

Super Plinko is an addictive Android game where you have to drop the balls and make them fall into the slots to earn cash or tokens. Green Balls will give you virtual cash, whereas the yellow ones will give you tokens.
You can withdraw the money via PayPal once you reach $100 or 2 million tokens. The problem is that green balls become scarce and even drop in value from $0.01 to $0.001. So, they make it nearly impossible to cash out.

As only one lucky user will be selected from millions of tickets, earning the prize is probably more difficult than winning the Powerball.
That’s why lots of users prefer to save their tickets on the virtual bank and cash out $10 via PayPal.
Unfortunately, lots of people are frustrated with Big Time Cash because they have trouble getting the money they won.

They also have other in-app games such as the lucky wheel, lucky knife, and lucky prize.
Once you accumulate enough cash or coins, you should be able to cash out via PayPal and gift cards. However, lots of people are complaining that they cannot cash out!
From what I can see on Google Play, Lucky Now used to pay a few users when it was operated by Fort Mason Games, Inc. Unfortunately, it’s gone downhill under new management!

Simply Combine identical puppies at the same level to form another breed one level above and earn cash rewards.
Then, you can supposedly withdraw money to PayPal once you reach $100. The app also claims that you can earn an iPhone 11 if you collect enough puzzle pieces.
Despite the excellent ratings, no one seems to collect enough cash or puzzle pieces to collect the prizes. Lots of people are saying they completed all 50 levels and got stuck between $89 and $98.

Little Jumping Bird is one of the most challenging and addictive games on Google Play. In this modified version of FlappyBird, you will escape obstacles and accumulate over $10,000 during the entire journey.
The developer claims that payment is guaranteed after you complete level 20.
Well, many people expect to meet this requirement with practice and perseverance. The problem is that the designer made it almost impossible to finish the last level without purchasing lives.
Some players spent their hard-earned money and finished level 20. However, the company accused them of hacking the game and rejected their payment requests.
I am not saying the same will happen to you, but I didn’t find anyone who received the prize. It’s just a pipe dream, so don’t waste your money!Â

They advertise the game as an opportunity to win lots of money. However, it stops giving cash coins when you achieve around $95, making it impossible to cash out.
Some people have been playing Lucky Plinko for months without earning a single cent.
So, forget about making money with this game!

You can only cash out once you reach £120 or 3 million tokens. However, the app is programmed to give you a progressively smaller amount of cash, making it nearly impossible to cash out.
