I have recently discovered Ferpection, a platform where you can supposedly earn € 5 – € 20 for testing sites and apps.

According to the homepage, there are over 100,000 registered testers working from home.

Ferpection seems legit and a lot easier than other usability testing sites like User Testing, TryMyUI, Userlytics, and Userfeel.

But does it actually pay? If so, how much money can you make in exchange for your time and feedback?

In this review, I am going to show you how Ferpection works and give you my honest opinion about it.

What is Ferpection?

Ferpection is a user testing company that pays you for giving feedback on sites and mobile applications.

By sharing your opinions, you are helping companies identify problems and improve the functionality of their platforms.

Different than other usability testing sites, most missions just require written comments and screenshots.

So, most of the time, don’t need to speak your thoughts out loud while you record your computer screen.

Every month Ferpection wi your payment via PayPal or gift cards.

How Does Ferpection Work?

How to register as a tester?

You must be at least 16 years old to become a tester for Ferpection.

The signup is very quick with your email or Facebook account.

Next, you must answer a few profiling questions and complete the evaluation mission.

Evaluation Mission

Before you can start receiving missions to start working, you must complete the evaluation mission known as Onboarding Ferpection.

It’s not an exam, and it’s very straightforward!

The evaluation mission helps you familiarize yourself with the Ferpection platform and understand how to write feedback.

Once approved, you will earn €2.00.

How do you get a mission?

You will get an invitation for user research (mission) via email.

Alternatively, you can sign in to your Ferpection account and check the “Missions” page.

If you see a mission with a green “Read the Brief” button, it means you are eligible to complete it.

Click on the button “Read the Brief” and follow all the steps required.

What can you expect from a mission?

Typically, you will be asked to visit a website and click on specific pages.

Then, you may be asked to share your first impressions, describe your experience and say what you like or dislike about the platform.

You will also have to take a screenshot of parts of the website you are talking about.

Sometimes, you may also be invited to complete screen recording missions.

In that case, you will have to install a software to record your screen and voice while you test the website or app.

To avoid having your mission rejected, here are some reminders:

Write complete sentences.
Your feedback must contain only 1 idea.
Provide at least 1 feedback per step.
Report at least 2 problems.
Mark 1 problem as important.

How many missions do you get in a day?

The number of missions you will get depends on your profile and customers’ needs.

So, make sure you complete your profile after you complete your evaluation mission.

There are very few English missions, so patience is required.

It may take some weeks/months before you will get your first invite, but that is quite normal.

Be aware that the economy is in big trouble now, so businesses have been affected significantly.

Once you get the invite, I advise you to book your mission immediately as places are very limited.

Some people have been waiting for more than 3 days and didn’t get any mission!

What Does “Full Missions” mean?

If a mission is greyed and you see the word “Full”, it is because the number of testers expected has been reached.

Therefore, you cannot book the mission, and you should wait for new test opportunities.

You should also check your “Missions” page from time to time because some missions can be canceled.

In that case, you have a new chance to book the mission.

How Much Money Can You Earn?

You can expect to earn € 5 – € 20 depending on the complexity of the project.

Unfortunately, you are not going to make a lot of money with Ferpection because there are not many missions.

How do you redeem your money?

You don’t need to request payments, but in order to receive your payment, you must have at least €20 in your account balance.

If you do, Ferpection will transfer the money to your PayPal account at the end of each month.

You can also choose to redeem via Amazon vouchers.

Conclusion

Ferpection is another legit usability testing website, but there are very few opportunities.

I wish the site had more opportunities because missions are very straightforward.

After completing the evaluation mission you may have to wait for over 1 week for an invitation.

Another downside is that you must have earned a minimum of €20 to receive your payment at the end of the month.

So, it can take a long time to get paid.

If you are serious about making money I advise signing up to as many usability testing sites as possible.

How To Earn a Full-Time Income From Home

You can’t rely on sites like Ferpection to earn a steady income from home.

The number of tests can drop significantly even if you are signed up to other similar sites.

There is a much better method that anyone can use to generate a steady and substantial income online.

It’s called affiliate marketing!

In my opinion, affiliate marketing is the best choice for most people because…

It’s very cheap to get started.
It offers unlimited income potential – you can scale your traffic and sales indefinitely.
You work from your laptop whenever and wherever you want.
You will earn passive income – All the content that you have created in the past will keep making you money for months and years ahead.

If you are planning to grow this type of business, you have to be prepared to create content for at least 1 year, before you start reaping the rewards.

But it’s worth it!
