Lucky Gold App Review
- Name: Lucky Gold
- Developer: LuckyGold Team
- Eligibility: USA
- Type: Sweepstakes
- Price: Free
- Overall Rating: 1.5/5
What is Lucky Gold?
Lucky Gold is an Android application that allows you to play scratch cards and other games for a chance to win cash rewards.
It’s very similar to many other sweepstakes apps with the magic word “Lucky” in its name. This is the most popular one!
The app is operated by the LuckyGold Team based in Hong Kong and has been installed over 1 million times.
Although Lucky Gold entices users with the opportunity to earn cash, it says games are only intended for entertainment.
Is Lucky Gold Legit? Does it Pay?
Hundreds of reviews on the Playstore suggest that it’s very unlikely that you will make money from Lucky Gold. There are lots of complaints about rewards!
First, you should note that contests are open for residents in the US only. So, there is no chance if you live in another country!
The TOS, which is available on the official website, states that coins have no real-world value. Besides, you can only exchange in-game currency at the developer’s sole discretion.
In layman’s terms, they have no obligation to reward you!
Most people who play Lucky Gold experience diminishing rewards.
They give you lots of virtual dollars in the beginning, but the frequency and amount decrease as you get closer to the
Mind you, they can always increase the requirement over time, making it increasingly harder to cash out.
The payout threshold was only $5, but they have recently increased to $25.
That’s how most of these type of games operate, and why there are so many complaints!
One person said that after playing Lucky Gold for 3 months, he went from 800 to 25 tokens per scratcher.
At this rate, he would have to play it for years to be able to reach 25 million tokens!
Despite the slow earnings, a woman persisted for months and finally reached $10. Unfortunately, she has been waiting for her Amazon Gift card for the last 5 weeks!
I went through over 100 user reviews on the Playstore and could not find anyone who got the money.
So, does that mean Lucky Gold is a scam? Technically, I cannot call it as such because the developers didn’t make any promises. Therefore, they are not breaking any contract by not paying you.
How Does Lucky Gold Work?
Installation
Lucky Gold is only available only on Android devices. After launching it, can log in as a guest or register with your Facebook account to ensure the safety of your earnings.
As I already mentioned, the app is designed for residents in the United States only. There is no point in playing the game from another country as you won’t be able to cash out.
Scratch cards
Log in to Lucky Gold to receive 40 scratch cards for free. Although they don’t cost you a penny, you must watch a 30-second video every 3 or 4 scratchers.
If you match 3 symbols, you will win the coin or token prize stated on the card. Cash rewards range between $5 to $2000.
According to the Terms of Service, they select the winners at random prior to the Daily Promotion Period.
However, Lucky Gold will always give you some tokens or “cash” per scratcher.
Spin game
The lucky spin game can be found below the scratch cards right at the bottom. You can play by either watching a clip or spending 6,000 tokens. If you wish, you can watch another video to double your earning.
The odds of winning a prize are:
Referral Program
Earn $1 for your first friend and $0.20 for the next 10 friends that install Lucky Gold and enter the code. In turn, he or she will receive 5,000 tokens.
How Do You Get Paid?
Lucky Gold claims to process your payment via PayPal once you accumulate $25.
However, they will never let you achieve the goal in case the company decides not to pay you.
Now, if you are brave enough to collect 25,492,500 tokens, you can redeem various gift cards worth $25.
Your options are Amazon, Walmart, Target, Starbucks, Nike, Google Play, and Best Buy.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- You don’t need to spend any money.
Cons
- Lucky Gold will reduce the amount of cash you will earn as you get closer to the payout.
- You may never receive your cash reward.
- It takes ages to collect 25 million tokens.
- It’s very slow to accumulate cash and tokens.
- There are lots of ads.
- Video won’t always load.
Conclusion
I don’t recommend Lucky Gold because it makes you waste a lot of time for a very low probability of winning.
People believe that if they keep scratching cards or spinning the wheel, they will eventually reach $25.
But after a while, most players just accumulate tokens that are worth very little money.
After a couple of months, you may still find yourself stuck and unable to cash out.
