What is AppLike?

 

AppLike is another popular application that rewards users for testing apps and games on your mobile device. It is operated by a German company called AppLike Gmbh and is somewhat similar to other apps that I reviewed in the past such as App Trailers, and AppNana.

Every time you download and use an app, you will earn points (mCoins) which you can redeem for PayPal or different gift cards.

The app is available worldwide for Android devices. However, depending on your country and profile, you won’t see many apps available.

 

Is AppLike a Scam?

No, I believe AppLike is legit. Looking at the Google Play platform, you can see the app gets lots of positive ratings but many negative reviews.

Here are some negative experiences people had with it:

  • The person was approaching the number of mCoins to cash out $10 when she lost her phone and had to buy another one. When she tried to log in, she had her account suspended due to suspicious activity and couldn’t cash out.
  • Many people are getting their accounts locked out.
  • It’s taking more than a month to redeem the rewards.
  • There are not enough app recommendations.

  • Very low-income potential.
  • There are very few apps and games available.
  • The minimum cashout threshold is low. However, some apps pay very little, so it can take a long time to cash out.
  • Only available for Android devices.

 

How Does AppLike Work? 

After you install AppLike and sign up for free, you will see a list of games and apps you can choose.

Right after I installed the application, I saw just one game available. Then, I clicked on “Play and collect,” installed and opened the game.

After a few seconds, I received a notification from AppLike that I had won 99 points.

Well, considering 12,669 mCoins equals £1, it turns out I just made less than 1 cent for this. More precisely, they paid me $0.0078.

I don’t know why, but after downloading the first app, they refreshed the list and then I could see more 2 apps available. Both of them didn’t work on my old Nexus tablet.

They say their algorithm find the right app suggestions for you based on anonymized data of all AppLike users.

The drawback is that, different from other similar apps, they don’t show you how many points you will earn before downloading. That is too bad because what if the reward is so small that is not even worth bothering?

So, after you install it, you have to check in the “active apps” section for the specific requirement you must follow to earn your points. There, they also show you how many mCoins you will get.

In the example above, they only said: “In 00:54 min you will get 99 mCoins”. But you may also find other requirements such as play a game and reach a certain level, or win a certain number of points.

 

Invite Friends and Earn More mCoins

AppLike’s referral program will give you 250 mCoins for every friend that you invite. Plus both you will receive 25% of all the mCoins he earns, and he or she also earns 25% of everything you earn.

I have to confess AppLike offers a pretty generous affiliate program. Unfortunately, the rewards are not that great, so as an affiliate marketer, it’s a bit hard to earn a decent income, even if you refer hundreds of people.

 

Cashing Out

You can cash out with as little as £0.50 via Paypal and £2.50 via Amazon Gift Cards. There is also a variety of other gift cards to choose from, depending on your country.

According to the FAQ, you can expect to receive your payment within 7 business days.

 

Conclusion

Just like most reward apps out there, AppLike is not bad, but it will probably take a long time to cash out. Not only there are few apps available, but also the payout is just too low in most cases.

Verdict: Legit

  2. I am over level 200 and I still have not received my coins. I play a game in active apps but it just says play it doesn’t say collect and play. How do I get my coins?

    1. From AppLike? This app doesn’t sell anything, so this refund message is weird and probably not related to applike.

    1. Hi, maybe it’s still working for those who already has it installed. But it’s not available on Googleplay anymore. The same company is operating other 2 similar apps called Appstation and Money RAWR.

  5. I play on applike, I cannot get into my account, when I try a page comes up saying wait a moment, your being registered. His is the sixth day I’ve been unable to play. I’ve been registered as a player for a couple years now, so shouldnt be getting this message. Please help

  6. My first $5 payout they gave me for 60 and then cancel it I didn’t see no none of that money when I complained they gave me $0.90 still have not seen the rest or heard from them can’t get a hold of them app-like is a scam

    1. Unfortunately, most reviews that I see about AppLike are similar to yours. Be careful because the Google playstore is full of apps that don’t pay. Users waste their time playing and watching lots of ads in return for nothing! I’d avoid probably 99% of apps to make money online as the risk of wasting time is too high.
