Review Wizard Review

Product Name: Review Wizard
Website: reviewwizardsystem.com
Price: Frontend $27. Upsell #1: $47 ; Upsell #2: $67
Owner: Brett Rutecky and Michael Thomas (aka Mike from Maine)
Overall Rating: 5/10

Who Are Brett and Mike?

Brett and Mike are top affiliate marketers on a popular affiliate network called JVzoo. They are not only experts in promoting other people’s products, but also successful product developers in the field of internet marketing.

What Review Wizard?

Review Wizard is an over the shoulder training on how to create a review website.

The product also comes with a handy WordPress plugin that you can use in your review posts to boost conversions (click-throughs and sales).

The sale’s page tries to gain people’s trust by saying this is not a “push-button system” that will make you rich without doing any work.

However, Brett says that by doing a tiny bit of simple work you can make money fast with affiliate marketing.

It doesn’t matter how excellent the training is. You should never expect to make money fast with just a little bit of work.

If you want to succeed with an online business, you need to work hard and be patient.

Forget about fast results! You are not chasing a few hundred bucks, but freedom from 9-5. This is not a small thing, but it’s highly achievable if you have the right mindset.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Easy to follow
Review sites can be very profitable
Good step by step training on how to set up your website
Relevant tips on how to chose a profitable affiliate product at JVZoo.com
Handy plugin for your reviews

Cons

Only designed for those who want to promote IM products.
There is no community to back you up (no live chat and no forum).
Two expensive upsells.
No free trial.

How Does it Work?

Before I purchase the training, I thought it would teach me how to build a review site in any niche market. So, I was expecting to choose an interest or a passion and review products related to that niche.

That’s not the case! In the first video lesson, Brett encourages you to promote ONLY Internet Marketing (IM) products as they are more profitable.

Indeed, promoting IM products can be very lucrative as you usually get 50% or more in commissions. However, this is not a niche that everyone is comfortable with.

When building an online business, it’s crucial to choose a niche that you are passionate or genuinely interested about. Why? Because when you dedicate your time to something you enjoy, it doesn’t feel like a job. As a result, your chances of success are significantly higher.

In my view, Brett should have informed its customers about it on his sale’s page.

The Training -Does it Deliver?

Review Wizard has only 11 short video lessons. Here is the list:

The step by step will help you build your review site, but it lacks important information about keyword research, search engine optimization (SEO), among many other things.

It’s not a bad course I would say.

Take a Look at The WordPress Plugin!

The plugin is useful for review sites, but to be honest, it’s not that powerful! In my opinion, it can increase conversions, but not significantly.

This is what your review article will look like after you activate the plugin:

As you can see, it creates two boxes with ratings and “pros and cons,” as well as a call to action.

Keep in mind there are lots of free review plugins out there that do the same job, or even better!

Upsells

The are two other upsells linked to this product:

Upsell #1: Review Wizard Pro – $47

This Pro version will give you:

Extra features such as exit pop-ups, social media share buttons, advanced customization for your rating box, among a few other things.
Advanced training on how to rank your reviews on the top of Google’s search results.
4-week live website (replay) that will walk you through the process of building a successful review site from scratch.

Upsell #2: Resell Rights – $67

This upsell will give you the right to sell Review Wizard and keep 100% of the profits.

You will also have access to the Affiliate Trax Software (list building), and also all the promotional materials such as sales pages and videos.

Final Thoughts – Is Review Wizard a Scam?

Review Wizard is not a scam, but I didn’t like the fact that Brett just provides the option to review Internet Marketing products.

Even though it can be very lucrative, not everyone does well in that niche.

What Now?

If you want to build a review website, the best thing is to choose a topic that you really enjoy. For in-depth training on how to start a solid online business focused on your passions and interests, I highly recommend Wealthy Affiliate.
