HitPredictor Review – Will You Get Paid to Rate Songs?

hitpredictor reviewWelcome to my HitPredictor review!

If I told you that you could get rewarded for rating music, would you believe me?

HitPredictor is a website where you can supposedly earn prizes to rate brand new songs before they get released to the public.

It seems like an easy and fun way to make money online, but can you trust this website? Is HitPredictor is a scam or a legit platform?

In this review, I’ll go into detail about HitPredator and give you my honest opinion about it.

HitPredictor Review Summary

  • Name: HitPredictor
  • Company: iHeartMedia, Inc
  • Type: Earn prizes for reviewing songs
  • Membership Eligibility: Residents from any country can join, but only US residents receive rewards.
  • LEGITIMATE
  • Overall Rating: 2/5

What is HitPredictor?

Owned by iHeart Media, Inc., HitPredictor is a website where you can give your feedback on new songs and influence the music industry.

Some artists and record labels want to hear your opinions before their songs get released to the public.

By joining HitPredictor, you will collect points every time you rate a song. It’s possible to earn more points by answering polls and inviting friends.

The downside of HitPredictor is that, unlike other reward sites, you can’t exchange them for cash rewards.

Instead, you can use points to get entries into weekly and monthly raffles to win Amazon Gift cards.

First Impressions

HitPredictor has an old-fashioned design, which didn’t give me a good impression.

But Stefan, let’s forget about the “book cover” and focus on what really matters!

When I first heard about HitPredictor, it immediately reminded me of Slice The Pie, a website that also pays for reviewing music online.

I love the idea of making money by reviewing songs, so I was excited to sign up and get started.

However, I got disappointed when I discover that only US citizens are eligible for prizes.

Even if I lived in the US, I would also be sad to know that members can only exchange points for raffle tickets.

Unfortunately, you need to count on luck to earn rewards, which is a deal-breaker for me.

If I am contributing, I’d rather get paid for my time and effort and not expect to win a prize that may never come.

How Does HitPredictor Work?

How to Join HitPredictor

The registration is easy and very quick. Complete the sign-up form with basic information such as your name, date of birth, gender, ethnicity, and country.

You can also provide your phone number to receive text notifications whenever a new song becomes available.

Set Your Listening Preferences

After logging in, the first step is to set your listening preferences by selecting up to 3 musical styles.

You can see all the 12 options in the screenshot below:

listening preferences

Selecting your favourite styles will determine the type of music that you will hear in your jukebox.

If you are uncertain, HitPredictor has provided many examples of artists for each musical style.

For example, “Hot AC” includes artists like Ed Sheeran, Imagine Dragons, Adele, and Bruno Mars.

Then, once you make your choices, click on “save changes”.

You can change your selection at any time in your account settings.

Rate Songs

Now, you are ready to start listening to songs on the jukebox and evaluating them!

The HitPredictor’s Jukebox is a place where you will find new tunes before they get released on the radio.

Artists and labels pay close attention to what HitPredictor’s members think about their music.

The information they can get from you can really help them craft and refine songs that will become the next hits.

To get started, click on the orange button “Rate Songs” on the left-hand column.

If you are lucky, you will see a list of songs in the jukebox that you can review.

Usually, most surveys are short. You should only tell how much you like or dislike the song and explain why.

Sometimes you may have to give your opinion about the artists themselves.

It very simple, but try to offer quality feedback. If they think your comments are not very helpful, you won’t get many songs to rate.

But don’t spend over 3 minutes on each song!

To write quality reviews, you may write about the melody, vocals, lyrics, and instruments.

HitPredictor knows that most members are not experts, so don’t hesitate to tell what you feel about a song. There is no right or wrong here!

You will earn 3 points for each song that you rate plus an extra 15 points if you review 15 songs within 7 days.

Weekly Contents

Every week, HitPredictor used to give away $5 gift cards for the first 10 – 50 people who rate a certain number of songs.

However, it seems that they have stopped running these contests.

NO SONGS?!

I was curious to go through the process, but to my disappointment, I received this message saying that I had rated everything.

no songs

There were no songs available for me right from the get-go.

It’s discouraging when we join a reward platform only to be told we should check back later.

According to the FAQ, HitPredictor won’t invite you to rate all the songs. Besides, they will stay in the jukebox only for a limited time.

Answer Polls

On the left sidebar, you will see an option called “answer polls”, where you will find a list of questions about music.

Here is one example:

polls

You will earn 5 points for each poll you answer.

Refer Friends

HitPredictor is running a referral program where you can earn 25 points for each friend you invite.

To get referrals, copy and share your referral URL on Facebook, Tweeter or other social media.

referral link

Unfortunately, you won’t get referral points just because your friend signed up through your unique URL.

To earn points, your referral must rate at least 5 songs within 30 days, which is a big challenge!

The company says it’s easy to earn thousands of bonus points per week, but I don’t think so!

I promote reward platforms on my blog, and I know how very few people take action.

In addition, HitPredictor doesn’t seem to give many opportunities to new members.

So, it’s hard to get referrals that eventually rate 5 songs within a month.

Prizes – Only 8 Winners a Week!

In the “shop prize” section, you can buy tickets to enter weekly raffles.

Currently, HitPredictor is giving away four $50 Amazon gift cards and four $20 Amazon gift cards per week.

raffles

So, only eight reviewers will win the weekly prizes.

A raffle ticket for the $50 prize costs 200 points, whereas a raffle ticket for the $20 prize costs 100 points.

You can get a maximum of 1 ticket per day, and the more entries you have, the higher your chances of winning.

If you win, you will receive a notification via email, after which you will receive the prize within 6 weeks.

You can check the list of winners on their official Facebook page.

What People Think About HitPredictor

Because HitPredictor is not a popular website, there aren’t many user reviews on the Internet.

After some research, I found that there are mixed opinions about this platform.

Some people think HitPredictor is a waste of time while others love it.

Conclusion

HitPredictor is a legit website, but it’s not a website that I would recommend if you want to make money online.

Since I joined 3 days ago, I haven’t had a chance to review any song.

Some other bloggers have also reported a lack of opportunities.

Another downside is that even if you rate hundreds of songs, you may not win any prize.

There are only 8 winners per week, so I believe your chances are very slim.

Verdict: Legit

Hi Stefan

Thank you for your honest review on HitPredator. I have heard about other rewards websites, but this is the first time I heard about HitPredator. Your review will be very useful to people who are looking to learn more about the website.

Based on what I read it will be hard to make money on HitPredator, but it is normal that you will always find people who love it. Maybe they prefer to earn points rather than dollars.

All the best

Hi Stefan,

I am working from home, and I am always looking for new interesting opportunities to make money. I enjoyed reading your review and it provided me with the information I was looking for. It’s good to know that HitPredictor is not a scam, but as you said it’s also not good for making money.

Best regards,
Joonas

Hi Stefan, and thanks for your review.
I suppose this might earn you an occasional prize for your efforts, but it sounds like they don’t upload too many songs. I can see where it would be frustrating to have to wait for new songs.
I much prefer your recommendation to try affiliate marketing. The opportunity to make a full-time income is what I’m looking for.
I love music, but it won’t make me rich, lol.
Cheers,
Suzanne
