You can exchange them for real money through popular channels like PayPal, Mastercard, and Visa.

The premise sounds like a dream come true for anyone looking to make a little extra on the side just by staying active.

I stumbled upon this app through a captivating advert.

In the video, two girls chat about something they’ve been dying to buy but can’t afford.

Then, out of nowhere, this guy flashes a stack of cash and claims to help them.

Naturally, they’re shocked. “How do you suddenly have so much money? Did you steal something?” they ask.

But no, he’s been using Fun Step, turning his everyday walks into cold, hard cash.

The advert shows off a PayPal account growing to hundreds of dollars!

Sounds like a dream, right? But with so many apps promising big rewards and delivering frustration, it’s hard not to be skeptical.

Fun Steps Review

Name: Fun Steps
Developer: Miso Team
Eligibility: Worldwide – Android
Price: Free
Payout Threshold: £50
Overall Rating: 0 stars

What is Fun Steps?

Fun Steps is a step-tracking application that aims to motivate users to lead a healthy lifestyle by tracking their steps and offering rewards for meeting step goals.

The app allows users to collect coins, which can supposedly be exchanged for real money.

Despite its popularity, with over 1 million installations on the Play Store, the app is still in early access.

Therefore, the developer does not allow users to publish reviews.

This restriction may raise concerns as users cannot share their experiences with the app.

It makes me wonder – If the developer rewards users, why not let people share their positive experiences and spread the word about such an amazing app?

Well, I think deep down you know the answer! But let’s continue with how Fun Steps actually work.

How Does Fun Steps Work?

Fun Steps is free to download on the Play Store, and you don’t have to register.

However, when you start the app, it asks for permission to access your phone.

They say it’s for tracking steps, but you’ll soon find out that walking isn’t really what earns you coins.

From the moment you launch Fun Steps, it pushes you towards watching advertisements.

Hit the ‘Get Coins’ button, and instantly, you’re 193 coins richer, equivalent to about £2.

Newcomers also receive a hefty bonus of 300,000 cash units (£22) and 1,000 coins (£12).

Pretty generous, right? The app also shows withdrawal options like PayPal, Visa, and Mastercard, setting a cash-out minimum at £50.

On the dashboard, there’s a cute panda and a progress bar for your step count beneath it.

You can set a step goal of 2,000, 3,000, or 4,000 steps.

But as I mentioned, you don’t actually have to walk to earn coins.

Even with zero steps, simply tapping the ‘Get Coin’ button rewards you after watching an advert.

This is the real way the app generates revenue!

You will receive rewards if you tap on the coins and cash bubbles surrounding the panda.

Furthermore, Fun Steps includes Scratch Cards, a Lucky Wheel, and mini-games, giving you more coins and units.

So, the developer claims you can withdraw hundreds of dollars.

But when you think about it, the math doesn’t quite add up.

The app’s income comes solely from advertisers, so how many adverts would you need to watch for it to be profitable for both you and the developer?

That’s why it’s so unrealistic!

How Do You Cash Out?

You can access your cash or coin balance, displayed at the app’s top.

The threshold for cashing out is set at £50, requiring either 5,000 coins or 700,000 cash units.

For your convenience, the app supports three withdrawal options, including PayPal, Visa, and Mastercard.

Is Fun Steps Legit? Does it Pay?

The answer is no, it doesn’t! Fun Steps doesn’t live up to its bold claims!

You’ll spend a lot of time watching ads; the sad truth is you won’t see any real money from it.

Even if the money was real, the app shouldn’t even be called Fun Steps but Fun Ads.

Well, and where is the Fun part?

Maybe the developers find it funny to profit from your time spent on advertisements.

But for anyone looking forward to actual rewards, it’s far from amusing.

The reality is quite disheartening. Imagine walking, motivated by the thought of earning, only to realize it’s all for nothing.

This isn’t just misleading; it’s downright cruel, playing on the hopes of users who put in the effort and time.

My advice? Steer clear of Fun Steps.

Despite the effort you might put in, the outcome remains the same: you won’t get any real money out of it.

Conclusion

Fun Steps does not pay out real money!

It’s primarily focused on generating revenue for the developers through advertisements.

Therefore, I advise you to avoid Fun Steps due to its misleading claims and lack of tangible rewards.

Here are some legitimate step-tracking apps that pay users for their physical activity:

WinWalk gives you a coin for every 100 steps, up to 100 coins daily. You can trade these coins for e-gift cards from Amazon and Starbucks. It’s simple to use, requires no login, and is easy on your phone’s battery. Full WinWalk review
Stepler lets you earn points for walking, which can be used for discounts with Netflix, Spotify, and Adidas. Full Stepler Review
Macadam mixes things up by letting you earn coins by walking and watching videos, playing games, and taking surveys. You can start cashing out directly to your bank account once you hit €15 or 30,000 coins. Full Macadam review
Sweatcoin changes your steps into Sweatcoins, which you can spend on tech gadgets and fitness equipment, focusing on products and services instead of cash or gift cards.
