Welcome to my Premise app review!
I was browsing the Google Play store last week when I discovered an innovative app called Premise.
The Premise app differs from most cash apps as it allows you to make money by helping your local community.
I know how frustrating it is to waste time and energy working for companies and have nothing to show for it.
That’s why you are wondering if Premise is a scam or a legit app.
In this review, I will cover all the essential information you need and give you my honest opinion.
If you want to create an alternative source of income from home, check out my #1 recommendation. This program helped me reach $1,600/mo in online revenue and quit my job in 2019. No special skills required!

What is the Premise App?
Premise is a mobile app that rewards you for taking pictures, sharing your opinions, and reporting your daily activities.
The images and information you provide will help businesses, government, and humanitarian organizations to improve your local community.
For example, they may ask you to report on dirty places and poor street signs in your neighborhood.
I will give you more examples later in this post.
Premise’s goal is to empower individuals to share information with decision-makers, who will be better equipped to make positive changes.
The app is available in over 70 countries and it’s a brilliant opportunity for people who live in developing countries of Africa, SE Asia, and South America.
However, missions are not available everywhere, so you may not find jobs depending on your location. Also, task availability may change based on the needs of organizations.
The premise app has paid out over $1,500,000 USD to over 1,000,000 contributors worldwide.
Is the Premise App Legit?
Yes, the Premise app is 100% legit and safe to use!
The company operates successful campaigns across the world and reward users for their contributions.
Some of their top clients include the World Bank, the United Nations, and USAID.
Visit their corporate website here to read about the services they provide to businesses and government organizations.
Some people experience payment issues, but I don’t think the company is trying to cheap on members.
This reward platform is going viral! Cash out via PayPal, Visa, Gift Cards, and in-game currencies - Click here to find out how to generate an extra $10+ per day!
If you cannot cash out, I advise you to contact Premise at support@premise.com as I am confident they will help.

Pros and Cons
Pros
- Make money while helping organizations make a positive impact on your local community.
- There are lots of tasks in many cities around the world.
- You can cash out via PayPal or Coinbase.
- Fast payments.
- Surveys are interesting.
Cons
- The payment incentives are low.
- There is a lack of missions in many places.
- The company has raised the payout threshold so it takes longer to cash out now.
- No rewards for referrals.
How Does it Work?
Installation and Registration
Premise app is available for both iOS and Android devices, so you get it on the App Store or Google Play store.
After the installation, you must sign up with either your Google or Facebook account.
Next, Premise will ask permission to access your device’s location so you can find tasks available in your area.
Welcome Task
After registration, they asked me what the weather was like and asked me to take an outdoor photo to capture the weather.
That was the first task, which earned me £0.05.
Easy!
Perhaps the first task will be different depending on your location.
Contributor Profile
Before searching for tasks, take the time to complete a short profiling questionnaire, and earn £0.05.
They want to know your age, employment situation, education level, primary language, and other basic information.
Completing Tasks
The Premise app allows you to reserve tasks in your area whenever you want.
You can find all the opportunities available in the marketplace by tapping on the blue “+“sign.
The app will tell you the reward amount and the expiry date of each task.
In London, most tasks pay only £0.20.
Select the task to see its summary and requirements.
As soon as you tap on “reserve”, the task will go to the “My Tasks” section, and you will have a deadline to complete it.
If there are no tasks in your area, continue checking your app regularly for new opportunities.
Next, I will share with you a few tasks available in London as I was writing this review.
- Report on poor bus stop conditions – This task asked me to take two photos and answer questions about the damage.
- Report on public water points – Premise asked me to identify a source of publicly available water, such as a drinking fountain, well, water pump, or faucet. I had to take a photo and answer several questions.
- Report on Restaurants – This task helps organizations understand food and beverage availability. I had to find a restaurant in my area, take photos and answer questions.
- Report on dirty condition of public spaces – This task involves identifying litter, vandalism, or other dirty conditions in the area.
As you can see, Premise is trying to gather valuable data that will help solve real-world problems.
One practical example of this is the identification of mosquitos breeding sites in Colombia to help fight the Zica virus.
How to Avoid Your Tasks Being Rejected
Premise can reject your tasks for various reasons, but these are the most common ones:
- Poor image quality: make sure the image is not blurred, and that the subject is at a reasonable distance – not too far and not too close.
- Incorrect observation: Does the picture represent the description of your task?
- Fraudulent observation: You cannot use multiple phones or accounts to conduct the research.
Also, before reserving a task, make sure you have enough time to complete it.
How Much Money Can You Earn?
You may find lots of opportunities in your area, but the rate of pay is incredibly low.
Most tasks pay just a few cents, so it’s not surprising that people feel discouraged to use the app regularly.
Tasks that are located too far from your location are usually not worth it due to transportation costs.
For example, this guy claimed that he would have to either walk 20 minutes or pay $1.20 for transportation to complete a $0.25 task.
Another person made $30 within 3 months, which is not bad, but he didn’t mention how many tasks he did.
So, don’t expect to make a lot of money with this app.
How do You Get Paid?
To get paid, you must click on “Payment” and add one of the following payment methods:
- Mobile top-up
- PayPal.
- Coinbase
- Bank account (only specific banks).
The minimum payout requirement depends on your country and payment method.
One year ago, contributors in the UK could cash out with as little as £0.19.
But since then, Premise has increased the minimum requirement to £12, making it harder for us to cash out.
In the past, Filipinos could cash out 50 PHP through PayPal, and now they have to reach over 700 PHP.
Lots of people get disappointed with frequent updates, especially when they are close to cash out.
User reviews
There are mixed feelings about the Premise app on the internet, but most people think it’s a great app to make a little extra money.
Some users think it’s not worth it because of the low rates of pay, which is understandable.
This person from Zambia enjoys Premise, but he thinks the company could pay more because collecting information in his country is challenging.
Apparently, people in the U.S. can complete tasks, but they are not receiving payments because the app is still in beta phase.
So, before using the app, I advise you to send a message to the company to ask whether the app is rewarding in your country.
UPDATE: The premise app is not in the beta phase anymore, so they are not freezing payments in any country.
The app has received lots of negative comments lately because it has increased the minimum cashout requirement.
I can understand people’s frustration when they discover they have to complete more tasks and wait longer to get the money.
Conclusion
Premise is an interesting app that pays users to make a positive impact on local communities. It’s a great initiative!
I think they should offer a higher incentive to encourage more people to use the app.
They should also make it easier for people to make money by lowering the minimum withdrawal limit.
There are not many tasks in certain locations, so contributors get stuck for a long time!
At the end of the day, only you can decide whether using Premise is worth your time and effort.
Me, personally, I will keep the application on my phone and contribute whenever I can.
I am not motivated to use the app for the money, but if I can make a positive impact in my area, I will be glad to help.
Verdict: Legit
Is There are Better Alternative to the Premise App?
There are lots of apps that allow you to complete location-based missions, and get paid.
In my opinion, the best ones are:
- BeMyEye – Available in over 20 European countries.
- Roamler – The UK, the Netherlands, Ireland, Portugal, France, Spain, Italy, Poland, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Austria, Norway Turkey, and Chile.
- Field Agent – UK, U.S., Canada, Mexico, Australia, South Africa, and Ecuador.
I think the worst thing about mystery-shopping apps is that the company can reject your work if you make little mistakes.
BeMyEye and Field Agent get lots of complaints because of that, so you better pay close attention to detail to avoid wasting your time.
As for Roamler, it seems to be a lot easier to get approved and reach the minimum payout.
How to Make a Full-Time Income From Home
Apps like Premise offer an easy and convenient way to make money. But the earning potential is very low!
If you are reading this section is because you want to make enough money to quit your job and have more freedom to do the things you love!
Well, here is what I do to make a full-time income online.
I publish helpful content on my own website and earn revenue through affiliate links and banner ads.
As an affiliate, I earn commissions when visitors click on my links and buy what I am promoting.
It’s not difficult to get started, and you don’t need any special skills.
However, you need to put in the time and effort before you reap the rewards.
Building a profitable website is pretty much like growing a tree. You need to find fertile ground (decide on your niche), water it (create valuable content), and then wait.
In my opinion, this is one of the best ways to make money!
When you have a website, it keeps working for you around the clock.
You decide on your working schedule, and you can work whenever you want from your laptop.
I’m talking about time and location freedom!
I started from scratch having no clue about website design or marketing skills. So, I am confident you can do it too!
If you want to create an affiliate site, the best thing is to learn from those who walked the way.
I’ve built a successful internet business thanks to this excellent step by step program.
They helped me set up a strong foundation to rank high on Google and make consistent sales that amount to $1,600+ per month!
