Walkboost App Review – Does it Pay $35? Legit or Fake?

freecash advert

Welcome to my Walkboost review!

I recently discovered a step tracker app called Walkboost that makes some impressive claims!

This Android app promises to do something pretty wild – pay you for simply walking.

That’s right, each step you take earns you digital coins, which can supposedly be converted into real cash.

Sounds too good to be true.

Now, I stumbled upon Walkboost through an ad that seemed… let’s say, a bit over the top.

A woman in a flashy yellow suit approaches a street vendor.

The vendor, busy with his vegetables, is then asked by the woman how long it takes him to earn $10,000.

He laughs it off, saying it’s an impossible goal with his job.

That’s when she grabs his phone, downloads Walkboost, and claims he can now make money just by playing games in his free time.

The video even boasts that the guy made $100 when he went online, and the money was actually in his account.

Now, you might be thinking, “Is this for real?”

I’ve reviewed dozens of apps and games claiming easy money, but guess what? They never pay.

I’ve also tested various step-tracking apps, most of which were misleading.

So, I’ve learned to take these ads with a grain of salt, and you should, too.

But that’s why you’re here, right? You want to know if Walkboost lives up to the hype.

Does it pay, or is it just another pipe dream? Let’s dive in and find out together.

What is Walkboost?

Walkboost is a step-tracking app available on Android, boasting a notable one million+ downloads on the Play Store.

What sets it apart from the myriad of fitness apps out there is the promise to pay you for walking.

Yes, you heard that right. Each step you take while using the app earns you digital coins.

This reward platform is going viral! Cash out via PayPal, Visa, Gift Cards, and in-game currencies - Click here to find out how to generate an extra $10+ per day!

These coins can then be converted into real money, which you can withdraw through PayPal, Paytm, Dana, and Amazon.

But Walkboost doesn’t stop there. It also includes mini-games, like Lucky Slot and Lucky Spin, which offer additional ways to earn coins.

The concept is to entice users with the prospect of easy money simply by staying active or playing games.

However, there’s a curious aspect to this app. It’s listed as ‘Early Access’ on the Play Store.

This status means no user reviews are available, which is quite unusual for a legit app with a million downloads.

How Does Walkboost Work?

When you first open Walkboost, you’ll need to click ‘Go.’

This action implies agreeing to their terms of service and privacy policy.

So, it’s crucial to be aware of what you’re consenting to.

With Walkboost, there’s no need to create an account to start earning rewards – a rarity in the world of reward apps.

You’re then greeted with a screen showing your step count and the equivalent in coins.

For every six steps you take, you earn one coin.

But here’s where you need to pay attention: To convert these steps into coins, you must click an orange button and watch an advertisement.

After that, you’re rewarded with 100,000 coins, adding to the total you’ve accumulated from walking.

This process might seem straightforward, but remember, you’re trading your time and attention for these coins.

Look at the top of the step count; there’s an image of a boy walking. Next to him are coin bubbles, each worth 4,500 coins.

If you click on these, you activate more adverts, and yes, you guessed it – you get more coins.

But again, this means more exposure to advertisements, most promoting a get-rich-quick scheme.

Moreover, you have games within the app, like Lucky Slot and Lucky Spin.

These games are another avenue to earn coins, and they come with the same condition – watching more videos.

Withdrawing Funds

The ‘Withdraw’ button at the top leads you to various payment options like Amazon, PayPal, and Dana.

You need a minimum of 2 million coins to cash out, which translates to about $35.

That’s a high bar, meaning you’ll be spending a lot of time watching averts with no guarantee of payment.

Is WalkBoost Legit? Does it Pay?

You need to hear the hard truth about Walkboost before wasting more time!

No, it doesn’t pay. A withdrawal threshold of just a dollar or two would keep my hopes alive.

But $35? That’s a stretch too far!

Here’s what’s happening: the developer of Walkboost is earning money from the advertisements you watch and keeping all to themselves!

Think about it this way: they have no legal obligation to transfer rewards to users.

There’s no binding contract ensuring you get paid.

Their primary aim is to maximize profits from the app, and they do this by pushing continuous adverts.

This setup benefits the developer but not you.

You spend valuable time watching the videos, hoping to accumulate enough coins to reach that high cash-out threshold.

But in reality, this is time you’re not going to get back!

Is There An Alternative?

There are plenty of legitimate pedometers available in the market.

Most of them provide all the services you need, like counting steps and tracking calories burned, without the false promise of cash rewards.

However, monetizing your steps is a challenging task, with limited options available.

One legit app I reviewed long ago is Winwalk, which is still available on the Play Store.

But don’t expect to fund your next luxury vacation with it.

If you’re dreaming of sipping margaritas on a beach in the Bahamas, funded by your step count… well, you might have to keep dreaming!

Winwalk might help you save enough for a fancy cup of coffee or, on a good day, maybe even a pair of socks.

Conclusion

My advice to you is clear: don’t be lured by Walkboost’s ludicrous cash incentives!

It’s not worth your time and effort. Instead, choose a reliable app that helps you track your fitness goals honestly.
