WDYT Review

Name: WDYT (What Do You Think)
Website: wdyt.com.au
Type: Online Surveys
Membership availability: Australia (+18)
LEGITIMATE
Overall Rating: 3/5

What is WDYT?

WDYT is a marketing research company based in Australia for Australian residents.

Unfortunately, you won’t be eligible to join if you live in another country.

If that’s the case, I highly recommend an alternative site called Prizerebel, which will connect you with different providers.

By joining WDYT, you will be invited to take part in surveys where you can share your opinions with businesses in Australia.

Companies invest heavily in marketing research to beat the competition and identify new trends that will shape the development of new products.

Every time you complete a survey, you will receive points that you can exchange for cash paid directly to your bank account.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Free to join.
Earn 300 bonus points after completing your profile.
Earn bonus rewards by inviting friends and family.
Redeem cash to your bank account or via eGift cards.
Generous referral program – Earn $1 per referral plus $0.10 for each survey they take.

Cons

It can be hard to qualify, depending on your demographics.
There is no app, but you can take surveys on your phone via the website.
The pay rate is not good compared to other panels.
The company doesn’t process payments via PayPal.

How Does WDYT Work?

WDYT works like most survey panel on the internet. The first step is to create your free account.

Creating Your Account

First, you will need to sign up for free by providing basic details such as your name, email address, phone, postcode, age and gender.

A confirmation email will be sent to your email. Click on the link provided to activate your account so you can redeem your points.

To complete your registration, you must fill up some profile surveys about your finances, education, shopping habits, among other topics.

After you answer these questionnaires, you will get 300 bonus points, which is a generous incentive.

Point System

Note that you must reach 2500 points in order to redeem $25.

Therefore, 1 point is equivalent to 1 cent.

Taking Surveys

WDYT will find you the best surveys that match your profile.

They will send you an email notification every time a new survey becomes available.

Also, you can check all the opportunities by visiting the survey section.

The survey section has 2 tabs called “Hot Surveys” and “My Surveys”.

In the “Hot surveys” section, you will find surveys that pay more than 100 points or $1.

When I joined WDYT for the first time, I saw 3 surveys in this section worth 195, 135 and 180 points.

In the other section, there were 40 surveys worth around 25 points on average.

Most surveys take between 10 and 15 minutes to complete, which means you will earn roughly $1 – $2 per hour.

You should always provide genuine responses. Dishonest answers may cause disqualifications from the survey and loss of points.

It can be very frustrating!

Another thing to keep in mind is that you will be required to answer pre-qualification questions.

Depending on your demographic, you will get screened out and directed to another survey opportunity.

It can be hard to qualify if your answers indicate that you are not the right candidate.

That’s why completing surveys can be a very frustrating and time-consuming experience.

You will waste a significant amount of time for a tiny reward!

How Much Money Can You Earn With WDYT?

WDYT pay very little compared to other survey sites, so you should not expect to earn a lot of money.

In one forum, one member said that it had taken him 14 months to cash out only $40.

Another person said that he was able to cash out around $80 between January to August.

Referral Program

Just like other survey panels, WDYT will give you referral points for inviting friends to join using your referral link.

You will get 100 ($1) points plus 10 points ($0.10) whenever your referral completes a survey.

To get referrals, simply copy and share your referral link with your friends on social media, WhatsApp or via email.

How Will You Get Paid?

Once you have earned 2500, you can redeem $25 via direct bank transfer or eGift cards at Prezzee.

If you choose to redeem points via eGift cards, a code will be sent to your email inbox within just a few minutes.

As for direct bank transfers, they take up to 10 working days to be processed.

Conclusion

WDYT is another legitimate survey panel that you can use to earn some extra income in your spare time. Yes, it does pay!

Currently, there are lots of survey opportunities, but the pay rate is lower than average.

Another negative point is that WDYT doesn’t pay via PayPal.

In my opinion, the site is not great but also not terrible!
