The Hype

It’s so frustrating when you land on a sale’s page that promises this and that but doesn’t reveal exactly what you will learn.

Most people can’t control their impulse and are almost forced by their minds to click the big button “Buy NOW” out of curiosity and desperation.

All they do is over hype about the possibility of making hundreds of dollars with little effort and in a short time. The internet is full of these pages that are entrance points of expensive marketing funnels.

What is Commission Magnet?

Commission Magnet is a step by step video tutorial that will teach you how to generate affiliate commissions of around $250 per day. At least that’s what they say.

Also, Glynn claims that the method relies 100% on a free traffic source. You don’t need to build a website, create a product or even grow an email list.

Is Commission Magnet a Scam?

Not. It isn’t. However, I think the sales page is overhyped and make promises that are impossible to keep.

Here is one example:

The methods we teach takes less than 10 minutes per day to execute, and every time you set up a new campaign you’re guaranteed to make even more money.

When it comes to Internet marketing, most courses will have an income disclaimer at the bottom of the web page where it says something like:

Results vary widely, and depend entirely on the individual. There are no guarantees that you will make any money from your use or promotion of our business training products.

The problem is that Commission Magnet doesn’t provide this Earning Disclaimer page. The link is there, but when you click on it, it just reloads the same page. Whether this is intentional or just an error, we will never know.

How Does it Work?

The training consists of 9 videos that are going to show you how to:

Choose the right products to promote.
Create landing pages for free.
Create high-converting email follow up series.
Get traffic using Instagram.
Use solo ads (paid traffic) to get more traffic for your marketing campaigns.

The key aspect of this method is the use of Instagram to promote your landing pages, and an autoresponder to capture leads and promote your affiliate offers.

There is nothing new about this business model, which is called affiliate marketing. With affiliate marketing, you earn commissions when people click through your affiliate links and purchase the product or service you are promoting.

Personally, I have never used Instagram to promote my website or my affiliate offers. I know it’s another powerful traffic source to tap into, and it can work for you as long as you take massive action and apply the strategies inside Commission Magnet.

Just bear in mind is no shortcut to succeed in affiliate marketing. In fact, all strategies involve hard work and perseverance, and you should never expect quick results.

Also, be prepared to spend more money as you will need to create landing pages and do email marketing with the use of an autoresponder like Aweber or Getresponse.

After you purchase the front end product, Glynn will try to sell you another four products.

Upsell #1: Done for You package ($19/$12)

I don’t know what this one entails, but probably Glynn will try to sell you pre-made landing pages. He claims that everything you need to fast track your success is in this upsell.

Upsell #2: Email Marketing Course + Done for you Email Swipes ($27/$17)

You will get additional training about email marketing and promotional emails specifically written for solo ad campaigns. So, you will need to buy solo ads if you want to advantage of this upsell.

Upsell #3: High Paying Affiliate Program Database + List of Lead Magnets ($37/$27)

This is a list of high paying evergreen affiliate programs to promote. You also get a list of freebies so that you can entice people to join your email list.

Upsell #4: License Rights To The Commission Magnet Funnel + SKYPE Consultation ($97/$47)

Affiliates earn 50% commission for promoting The Commission Magnet, but those who purchase this upsell will keep 100% of the profits. You also have the chance to get 1-on-1 coaching via Skype for 30 days.

Pros and Cons

Pros

You get a decent training for only $4.95.
You will learn both free and paid traffic strategies.
Easy to follow.

Cons

The sales page is overhyped.
You need to purchase autoresponder and software to build landing pages to make this system work.
It relies just on Instagram to get traffic. You are not building a solid foundation for your business.
Lots of upsells.

Final Thoughts

Considering the low price, The Commission Magnet is not a bad course.

It’s pretty much legit, but don’t be mislead by all the promises of making hundreds of dollars in just a few days. That’s totally unrealistic!

Personally, I don’t like this strategy of posting stuff on social media, getting people to opt-in, and then use email marketing to promote products.

It’s ok, but I think you shouldn’t rely just on social media to build your online business. I highly recommend building a website and using different traffic sources to boost your affiliate sales.
