What is iPoll?

Created in 2008, iPoll is a popular survey panel operated by a world leader in marketing research called Dynata (formerly Survey Sampling International).

The company also owns and manages a few other survey platforms such as Opinion Outpost, Quick Thoughts, Survey Spot and Surveyon.

By joining iPoll, you have the opportunity to earn cash and gift cards for answering questions about different products and services. You can complete surveys from either your computer or mobile app.

You won’t make a lot of money with iPoll or any other panel, but many people enjoy taking surveys because they are easy and convenient.

IPoll is eligible for people over 18 years of age or older.

How Does It Work?

Registration

If you are planning to use iPoll on your computer, visit the website www.ipoll.com, click on the green button “login” and use your Facebook or Linkedin account to sign up.

Alternatively, you can use the iPoll app available for Android and iOS devices. The survey opportunities are the same.

You can search and download the app directly through Google Play or the App Store. Also, if you visit the official website and scroll down the page, you will find the direct download link.

First, you should read and accept their Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

IMPORTANT: If you want to redeem your cash balance via PayPal, you must sign up with the same email address that you use for your PayPal account.

After signing up, you must create your profile by providing more information such as your gender, address, date of birth, education, and career.

Access to Your Location

The iPoll app will ask permission to access your location. If you don’t accept sharing your location, you may not be invited to answer local surveys.

Taking Surveys

Whenever a new survey matches your profile, you will receive an invitation via email.

If you are using the iPoll app, stay tuned for the push notifications on your phone as well.

You should try to complete the surveys as soon as you can because each marketing study has a limited number of participants.

You can find all the surveys currently available through the dashboard, where you get to know the cash reward and estimated time.

Most surveys pay less than $1.50 or £1.20 and take 10 – 15 minutes to complete.

If you have taken surveys in the past, you may have been disqualified and wasted your time.

Well, unfortunately, you will only have the chance to complete the entire survey and get paid if you pass the qualification process. There is no other way around it.

When taking surveys, you should always read the questions carefully and provide your honest feedback.

The reason is that you may get into their blacklist if they suspect you are going too fast or contradicting yourself. IPoll can either stop sending new invitations or terminate your account.

App Opportunities

The advantage of using the iPoll app is that you can receive invitations to participate in specific surveys in your local area.

In addition to sharing your opinions, you may have to visit a store and submit a picture of a product.

Payments

In the UK, you can redeem your cash balance for Amazon gift cards, iTunes gift cards or PayPal when you reach £25.

As for the US, there the minimum payout threshold is $25 if you redeem via Amazon gift cards and $50 if you choose PayPal.

In my opinion, that threshold is too high compared to what you are earning per survey. Therefore, you will probably have to take more than 30 surveys before you can cash out.

Keep in mind that if you choose PayPal, you can only redeem via the website.

IPoll process your payment within a few days, but sometimes it can take a bit longer up to 4 weeks.

Does iPoll Respect Your Privacy?

Understandably, many people are reluctant to share their personal data with companies.

The iPoll’s privacy policy is very transparent regarding all the data they might collect about you with your permission. These include your name, email address, education, occupation, gender, etc.

Whenever a survey collects sensitive data such as your sexual life, political views, race origin, and religion, iPoll will request your explicit consent.

Also, iPoll is clear about how they use your data, how they share and protect it.

They also give you the right to access the information they hold about you, the right to withdraw consent, and the right to delete and rectify your data.

Apparently, iPoll is doing the best it can to conform with GDPR, which set high standards for your privacy protection in Europe.

User Reviews – Complaints

However, looking at a few review sites such as Surveypolice.com, Trustpilot, and Sitejabber.com, I noticed that iPoll has an overall rating of 1.3, 2 and 1.9 stars, respectively.

No survey panel is free from complaints, but that’s an incredibly low rating!

There are many complaints, but the most common issue people report is regarding blocked accounts.

Many people said their accounts were terminated due to violation of the Terms and Conditions. Others claimed they were banned for no apparent reason.

Coincidentally or not, these terminations usually occur when people are almost reaching the minimum payout amount or right after the payment request.

Despite being a loyal member for 8 years, this person claimed he had his account was terminated without any explanation when he was £0.75 away from the payout.

Also, the company has received an F rating and a total of 345 complaints on the BBB (Better Business Bureau).

Most of these complaints were resolved though.

So, here is my advice to you. If something happens to your account or your earnings, you the first thing I would do is send an email to helpdesk@iPoll.com explaining the situation. If you get no answer, I highly recommend you file a complaint at BBB.org.

The Right to Terminate Your Account

If you read section 18 of the terms and conditions, you will discover that iPoll may terminate your membership at any time, and for no reason.

So, when you accepted the terms and conditions before signing up, you have automatically agreed with this.

That’s why I believe the company is not doing anything against the law.

I don’t think it’s a good business practice to terminate people’s account for no reason. It’s not fair, but they can do that with your consent.

I have reviewed hundreds of reward sites, and most of them receive complaints about blocked accounts.

However, when we talk about iPoll, the number of negative reviews because of that have reached a critical level.

Conclusion

IPoll is a legitimate panel that rewards you for sharing your personal data and answering questions about products and services.

It’s impossible to know whether you will get paid or not because even if you play by the rules, they can terminate or suspend your account for no reason.

There is a decent number of surveys available, but because the pay rate is so low, you may have to wait more than one month to cash out.

The main problem with iPoll is the fact that it has received lots of complaints due to blocked accounts. The panel has been rated terribly on all user review platforms that I could find.

Whether iPoll is worth joining or not is a very personal choice that only you can answer. You need to weigh the pros and cons and decide for yourself.

Then, you make money by promoting related products as an affiliate.

When people click on your links through your site and purchase the product through the merchant’s website, you earn a nice commission.

All you did was market the product to your audience. It’s a win-win situation.
