Opinion City Review

What is Opinion City?

At first glance, Opinion City seems like another affiliate site, earning commissions when referring you to different survey panels.

I have reviewed many similar websites such as SurveyCompare, Survey Spotter, and Surveysheep. All they do is write some reviews and encourage you to join well-known survey panels through their affiliate links.

The problem is that Opinion City will not always direct you to the survey panel it was supposed to. It’s directing users to other opportunities that are entirely different from online surveys.

Directing You To The Wrong Place

On the front page, there is a list of marketing research companies you can select by clicking on the green button “read full review.”

The review page contains useful information about the company you are about to join and a green button “click here to join.”

I tried all the links, and from 15 survey panels available, only the ones directing to Nielsen and My Survey worked.

One or two links were broken, while the rest took me to a weird website that asked me to spin the wheel for a chance to win a progressive jackpot of over £4,909,349.05!

They told me I won £300 plus 50 free spins, and so they asked me to click another link to claim the prize.

congrats

As we all know, there is no such thing as free money. So by this time I knew there was absolutely nothing to claim. But I was curious to see where this would take me.

Finally, they directed me to an online movie streaming service called 123plays in hopes that I would sign up for it and pay its membership fee.

I don’t know. Maybe some people fall into this trap of thinking they should sign up to claim the £300.

But no. They won’t!

I’ve done some research into 123plays and discovered many people are calling it a scam. One person said he/she was charged $1 something twice and then $400 without authorization.

Other two survey panel reviews directed me to Gala and other misleading pages saying I could claim different prizes:

Subscribing to the Newsletter

On the right sidebar, they entice you to join Opinion City’s newsletter to enter a $50 weekly drawing on Facebook.

After you sign up, you will land on a page with more sites to join, but they won’t mention anything about the prize draw.

What happens is you will get frequent emails from Opinion City, which often leads you to those weird sites again.

Besides, when you subscribe you agree to receive email, phone calls, postal mail, and other communications from the Opinion City, its agents, affiliates, independent contractors, successors, and assigns.

Final Thoughts – Is Opinion City a Scam?

I don’t recommend Opinion City because it’s nothing but an affiliate of different companies that don’t necessarily match the survey panel advertised. It’s not a scam, but it’s not a website I recommend.

If you want to complete online surveys, offers, and other simple tasks, I think one of the best GTP (get paid to) sites is Prizerebel. I have used it in the past and never had a problem with payments.

Bear in mind that Prizerebel doesn’t pay much for your time and effort, but it’s a legit and bulletproof way to make some money online.
