Steps Fitness Journey Review – Turning Steps into Real Gold? Does it Pay?

Welcome to my Steps Fitness Journey review!

Let’s talk about the fitness app that’s making waves for all the wrong reasons.

You may have stumbled upon a bold claim that just walking around could make you rich. Yes, really. The app in question? Steps Fitness Journey by VIEWDY.

Now, you’d think it’s just a basic pedometer—until you come across the flashy promotions.

Ads for this app show people running with sacks of cash. The promise?

Walk 20,000 steps and get $2,000. Clock 50,000? Here’s $80,000. A mere 100,000 steps? Congratulations, you’re a millionaire! (Okay, not quite, but you get the picture.)

This isn’t just exaggerated—it’s cartoonishly misleading. And the worst part? The app description doesn’t even mention the words cash, money or rewards.

Yup, that’s your first red flag. If you check the Play Store, it reads like a humble wellness tracker: “Monitor your steps, build healthy habits, track calories.” There is not one mention of money.

Yet somehow, people are downloading it expecting a payday. How? Easy: misleading third-party ads, cash-bait visuals, and promises that prey on hope.

Worse, this app is in early access on Google Play, which means you can’t even see user reviews. There is no feedback, no receipts—just a shiny “Install” button and a vague description.

So, is it legit or fake? Let’s break it all down.

What Is Steps Fitness Journey?

Steps Fitness Journey is presented as a basic fitness tracker.

It counts your steps, supposedly logs your burned calories, and helps you form healthy habits. That’s what the official Play Store page says, anyway.

But that’s just the front-facing version. The tone is wildly different behind the scenes, especially in the app’s advertising.

The ads scream, “Get rich just by walking!” They flash giant money icons, outrageous cash amounts, and smiling people living their best lives—all thanks to, what, walking the dog?

VIEWDY, the developer, also has a reputation for other apps. But not health ones.

They mostly make mods for bus simulation games. So how they suddenly pivoted to health and fitness—while promising riches—is… curious, to say the least.

Let’s be real: a studio known for vehicle mods jumping into the wellness space overnight, coincidentally right when cash-reward apps are trending?

Doesn’t scream credibility.

How Does Steps Fitness Journey Work?

Once you launch the app, it looks like a pedometer.

It tracks your movement, gives you “points” or “coins” for every step, and displays big shiny reward boxes.

Very motivational—until you realize every tap, swipe, or bubble triggers… you guessed it: an advertisement.

You start walking, see your steps count up, and boom—your virtual coin total rises.

You might think you’re making real progress. But try to claim your reward? Suddenly you’re told you need 5,000 coinsto cash out.

No problem, right? You walk more. And more. And then—watch more ads.

Want to double your reward? Watch an ad. Collect bonus coins? Another ad. Scratch a card for luck? You guessed it: ad.

Oh, and somewhere in there, they ask you to grant file read and write permissions.

That’s right—this fitness app wants full access to your phone storage. Ask yourself this: Why would a step tracker need access to your files?

Spoiler alert: it doesn’t. But ad revenue and data harvesting? That’s another story.

Does Steps Fitness Journey Pay?

Let’s cut to the chase: No. It doesn’t.

Not a single user has confirmed a successful payout. And because it’s in early access, there are no visible Play Store reviews to fact-check the claims.

There’s literally zero evidence that this app transfers even one cent to anyone.

Meanwhile, the app is raking in ad revenue every time you interact with it.

They dangle fake rewards, such as 40,000 rupees (around $500 USD), and offer massive amounts for performing basic tasks.

But in reality, your coins accumulate slower and slower over time. The further you get, the less you earn per step. It’s a digital treadmill in every sense.

Eventually, you hit the dreaded “minimum withdrawal limit,” only to realize it’s impossible to reach—or worse, the payout button is just there for show.

Many similar apps either:

• Glitch out at payout,
• Say your account is under review (forever), or
• Stop responding when you try to cash out.

This one fits the pattern too perfectly.

So… How Do They Make Money?

The real business model here? Ad revenue and data collection.

Every step you take inside the app is monetized. You’re not walking toward financial freedom—you’re walking into a funnel of endless advertisements.

From pop-up videos to reward multipliers, every function exists to push more ads in your face.

And when they ask for file permissions, that’s a whole new level of concern.

There’s no legitimate reason for a fitness tracker to access your phone’s internal storage.

But if it does, it could be mining personal information, scanning your device for marketing data, or worse.

Remember, this app is made by developers who previously worked on game mods—not precisely a background in health tech or finance. That’s not just shady—it’s dangerous.

Conclusion: Don’t Waste Your Steps (or Your Trust)

Steps Fitness Journey is not a fitness app. It’s an ad trap dressed in gym clothes.

It lures you in with outrageous cash claims, shows you inflated numbers, and milks your time, energy, and attention to line its own pockets.

The app is filled with red flags:

• Misleading ads that show bags of money for walking.
• No mention of cash rewards in the actual app description.
• No user reviews due to early access status.
• Dangerous permission requests for your files.
• Coin rewards that shrink over time, making payout impossible.

If you’re looking for a fitness tracker, there are legit ones out there—Google Fit, Samsung Health, or even Fitbit—none of which trick you into watching ads to “earn cash.”

If you’re after real reward apps, try ones with actual user reviews, payout history, and transparent terms.

Some legit options that I have personally tested are WinWalk, Macadam , and Sweatcoin.

Don’t fall for flashy promises. Your time and energy are valuable. Don’t let shady apps profit off them while giving you nothing in return.
