The idea is simple: play games, complete missions, and earn tokens.
These tokens can supposedly be exchanged for real cash, which you can withdraw via PayPal once you hit the payout threshold.
This concept isn’t new to my seasoned followers. We’ve seen similar setups in legit reward apps like Mistplay and JustPlay, which were previously reviewed on this blog.
But there’s something about Jolly Play’s over-the-top advertising that rings alarm bells.
It feels a bit too much like those fake reward apps we’ve all encountered.

This missing piece adds to the skepticism surrounding Jolly Play.
Despite my reservations, I decided to test it out, giving Jolly Play the benefit of the doubt.
How Does Jolly Play Work?
Now, let’s delve deeper into Jolly Play. This app is available globally for Android devices and doesn’t require any registration.
The developer claims that no data will be shared with third parties.
Despite this, the app does not encrypt data according to the ‘Data Safety’ section.
This is a significant risk because if there’s a data breach, your personal information could be collected and exploited for profit.
The risks here include potential exposure to fraud and misuse of your data, like identity theft or receiving unwanted spam.
How to Earn Tokens
Upon opening the app, you’re greeted with a ‘newbie gift’ of 2000 tokens, equivalent to £0.18.
Then, the app asks permission to track your usage.
Jolly Play needs to monitor how long you use specific apps to give you token rewards.
By allowing access, you earn an additional 9 pennies.
There’s a brief tutorial explaining how to withdraw money and earn tokens.
Tokens are the platform’s digital currency, which can be exchanged for real cash.
Jolly Play claims that you can withdraw any amount at any time.
But that’s not entirely true!
I decided to put this to the test. After collecting the newbie gift, I attempted to withdraw it via PayPal.
However, I was asked to install another app to make the withdrawal.
In the ‘Discover’ section, there’s a list of sponsored apps and games.
Each claims you can earn over a million tokens worth £100+.
After downloading an app, you must return to Jolly Play and play it through the ‘Missions’ section to earn tokens.
For instance, the game ‘Epic Spin Quest’ says you need to play for 60 seconds.
I played this game for much longer and didn’t receive any tokens.
Withdrawing Funds
You must click on your token balance or the ‘withdraw all’ button at the top.
Then, you enter your name and PayPal email.
The first withdrawal of £0.18 is immediate because that’s your newbie gift.
Now, the question is – will you receive the money? Is Jolly Play legit or fake?
Is Jolly Play Legit? Does it Pay?
Now, let’s unveil the whole truth about Jolly Pay. Does it really pay out on the first withdrawal?
To my surprise, yes, I actually received 20 cents instantly in my PayPal account.
But make no mistake; this payment is a clever strategy designed to build your confidence and encourage you to complete all the offers available in the app.
By doing so, the developer can earn far more than what they paid you.
Upon receiving this money, many people will believe the app is 100% legitimate and that it’s possible to withdraw significantly more significant amounts.
Remember how the developer said you can withdraw at any time?
Well, that turns out to be a blatant lie!
When you try to withdraw for the second time, the minimum amount required for withdrawal skyrockets to £900.
To reach this, you would have to complete many missions.
These missions mainly involve installing apps from a list and using them for a considerable time.
By doing this, you’re allowing the developer to earn commissions from these apps.
However, I must warn you that the amount of money they’re offering you is much higher than other similar apps.
For instance, in the CashDay app, users can potentially earn only five dollars after completing four or five app offers.
Do you see the difference? Based on my extensive experience with such apps, I am convinced that the small payment of £0.20 is merely bait.
Therefore, I recommend not using this app and not wasting your time. You won’t get paid more than 20 pennies!
