I tested and compared the best reward apps and sites, so you don't waste time on the fake ones. See which ones actually pay, how low the cash-out minimums go, and which offers are worth your time.
- ✅ Low cash-outs, some from just $1
- ✅ PayPal, gift cards and more
- ✅ Games, surveys and simple tasks
- ✅ Honest tips to avoid tracking problems
Earnings aren't guaranteed and results vary. Treat it as a bonus for time you already spend on your phone.
But how realistic is this offer? You might be one of many drawn in by its bold claim of easy money.
The app’s marketing strategy is clever and appealing.
I found this game through a commercial questioning why you can’t cash out from certain money games.
Then, the narrator answers, “They never intended for you to withdraw the money in the first place.”
The advert continues – “our game doesn’t require withdrawals. You’ll receive £50 directly in your PayPal account whenever you perform an action in it.
The idea of getting an instant PayPal notification after completing a task in a game sounds almost too good to be true.
You might feel the urge to click download the app right away, seduced by the possibility of “free” money.
But let’s pause and think. What happens after you spend hours playing?
I have reviewed hundreds of similar games, and here is what happens in 99.9% of cases:

What is Money Words?
Money Words is a crossword-style Android game where you connect letters to form correct words.
Every level you conquer by deciphering these words brings you more than just a sense of achievement – it promises cash rewards.
Imagine earning more money than your current job just by solving word puzzles.
You’d be spelling your way to financial success faster than you can say “alphabet soup”!
Now, let’s delve into something curious about Money Words. Despite over 100,000 downloads, you won’t find a single review on the app store.
This absence is quite a mystery and possibly a red flag.
Why aren’t people leaving reviews to tell the world how life-changing this game is?
You might think Google is restricting reviews from specific regions, but that might not be the entire story.
Here’s a thought: what if the developers have disabled the review feature?
You might wonder why they would do such a thing. Could it be a strategy to avoid negative feedback?
That’s a strong possibility, folks!
How Does Money Words Work?
As you explore Money Words, the first thing you’ll appreciate is its accessibility – the game is free and doesn’t require any registration before playing.
But as you dive deeper, particularly on its Play Store page, you’ll notice two crucial aspects that might raise your eyebrows.
Firstly, the game is marked as suitable for everyone. Well, that automatically includes children and teenagers, I suppose!
Now, you might be wondering why this is a concern.
As you know, Money Words involves earning cash rewards, which can potentially foster negative behaviors in young players.
Negative Consequences of Playing
Here are some consequences not only for the young:
- Skewed Perception of Money’s Value: Young people may develop a distorted understanding of earning, thinking money always comes without much effort.
- Impulse Control Challenges: The quick reward system can lead to difficulties in delaying gratification, impacting your decision-making in other aspects of life.
- Addictive Behaviors: The engaging nature of such apps can lead to excessive use, potentially neglecting important daily activities and responsibilities.
- Decreased Academic or Career Motivation: Young people might show less interest in traditional career paths, assuming more accessible alternatives exist.
- Increased Risk of Online Scams: Believing in easy money might make young people more vulnerable to online scams.
- Stress and Anxiety: Inconsistent rewards and the pressure to earn can increase stress levels.
Privacy Concerns
Another significant point you should be aware of is the lack of data encryption in the app.
This means that when you provide personal data for withdrawals, it could be accessed by the developers.
For you, this is a risky business. Identity theft is a genuine concern, and its implications – like financial loss or misuse of your data – are profound.
The Game
When opening Money Words, you must agree to the privacy policy and user agreement.
Next, you’ll be presented with nine gift icons. You choose one, and suddenly, you’re richer by £168 without effort.
This virtual cash is added to your balance, and you might feel excited.
Then, a brief tutorial shows you how to play.
Each level involves answering questions by connecting words.
Here’s an example:
After you identify the words and complete the level, you receive a cash reward – and it’s pretty generous, at least initially.
For instance, I earned £7.85 on my first level.
There’s more. You can choose to double this amount by clicking a button.
But here’s the catch: you must watch a commercial to the end to accumulate this reward.
While it might seem like a small price to pay, you need to consider the time you are spending.
What if the reward doesn’t materialize? You can’t rewind time!
Withdrawing Funds
You must first accumulate a minimum of £500 to withdraw your earnings in Money Words.
Once you reach this threshold, click the ‘Withdraw’ option at the top of your screen and follow the prompts.
Is Money Words Legit? Does it Pay?
Let’s face the harsh truth about Money Words head-on: no matter how much time and effort you pour into this game, it won’t pay a single dime.
This realization can be deeply frustrating, especially if you value your time.
It feels like a slap in the face, mainly when you trust that apps on the Play Store maintain a minimum level of honesty.
Here’s the reality you need to be prepared for – even if you diligently work your way to the £500 mark, there is no chance to see this money.
The journey to that goal is long, and you’ll likely notice that the rewards become smaller as you progress through the levels.
And should you reach the threshold, don’t be surprised if the developers move the goalposts.
They may demand even more gameplay from you, such as watching more videos or completing additional levels to “activate the order.”
Stay Ahead of the Game! Learn the tricks commonly used in fake cash games.
Conclusion
Money Words might offer some entertainment as a word game, but don’t be fooled – it’s a far cry from a real source of income.
While enjoyable for passing time, the game is ultimately an advertisement trap.
You end up wasting precious hours, hoping for a payout that’s nothing more than a mirage.
The real winner here is the developer, who profits from your time without giving anything back.
If you’re looking to earn money, steer clear of this game!
