  1. Hi Derek I can imagine your frustration. Sure there are no guarantees and earning a decent income as a translator online. You need to build a strong reputation and that takes a significant amount of time as competition is stiff.

  2. Yikes!

Is affiliate marketing really the best way to make some good money online? How long will it take to get a decent salary going?

    Thanks

    1. Hi AnthonyI completely agree with you! Regarding you question on how long it takes to see a decent income coming from you online efforts, well it depends of many factors. I have seen many people replacing their jobs within an average of 3 years of really hard work! But positive results varies a lot from person to person. I was inspired by many people inside WA that managed to achieve in 1 year, although I have to agree that it is very difficult, not impossible! The best advice I can get is that you need to keep your focus on providing valuable content and never give up! All the work you put in today will start generating results months or even years ahead! You have to always remember to give one step at a time, the journey is long but the reward is really worth at the end. The ability to earn money online can really change lives and gives a kind of flexibility really to find in other jobs or businesses. I hope this helps! Thanks for your comment and Happy New Year!

  3. Wow, thank you for putting this info out there. You have done a really thorough job of explaining exactly what this company is offering. I have been looking for alternative ways to make money. Translating is probably very similar to transcription, where you listen to recordings and type them out. You get paid by the word and it takes much longer than you think it’s going to. Thanks again for the warning. 🙂

    1. Hi Shannon, yes you are right. Unless you are qualified and paid for certified translations, it is very difficult to earn a full-time income from translations online. As you said, you are paid by the word, so you still have to trade your time for money like any other job. For those who wish to work for themselves and also stop trading their time for money, I always recommend building an online business. Although it is also a hard work, especially in the beginning, the possibility to make money from commissions online is very tempting. It’s a kind of performance-based work, where you are paid according to how well you work. If you do a great job, you will encourage more sales online, and that means more commissions for you. You’re most welcome! Keep coming back for more articles. All the best

  4. It’s true. How can they pay $250 per page when they can hire a cheap freelancer on Fiverr? Good point.

  5. So if not the language translation then what can i go for as freelancer. Actually i was looking to be freelance language interpreter so anything else is there related to this?

    1. Hi Sally, Unfortunately, I don’t know any site specialized in interpreter jobs that you can do completely online, but if you search for “interpreter jobs” on Google, you may find lots of opportunities, depending on where you live. In the UK, the site Indeed.co.uk has many interpreter opportunities.
