SceneRush Review: Run Away from This Fake Money App!
Welcome to my SceneRush Review!
SceneRush is another mobile app that claims you can earn money by watching videos on your phone. If you’ve seen this type of app before, you probably know the basic idea: watch episodes, collect virtual rewards and eventually exchange them for real cash.
But is SceneRush worth your time? Is it a completely fake app, or is it one of those platforms that actually pays a few pennies while encouraging you to watch as many advertisements as possible?
After looking at how SceneRush works, I wouldn’t automatically call it fake. The app uses a diamond-based reward system, and the minimum withdrawal requirement is just £0.05, which is relatively low. That makes it different from apps that advertise huge balances but require you to accumulate £25, £50 or even £1,000 before you can cash out.

I tested and compared the best reward apps and sites, so you don't waste time on the fake ones. See which ones actually pay, how low the cash-out minimums go, and which offers are worth your time.
- ✅ Low cash-outs, some from just $1
- ✅ PayPal, gift cards and more
- ✅ Games, surveys and simple tasks
- ✅ Honest tips to avoid tracking problems
Earnings aren't guaranteed and results vary. Treat it as a bonus for time you already spend on your phone.
However, there’s an important distinction between being able to withdraw a few pennies and having a reliable way to make money. Even if SceneRush pays some users, that doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll earn a worthwhile amount for the time you invest.
Here’s what you should know before downloading it.
How does SceneRush work?
The concept is straightforward. SceneRush encourages you to watch video episodes and collect diamonds as you go.
When you first open the app, you’re given 1,000 diamonds. The game then encourages you to keep watching episodes to earn more diamonds, with a message along the lines of “Keep watching episodes to earn more diamonds.”
There’s also an option at the top of the screen encouraging you to earn enough diamonds to cash out faster.
The system is designed to keep you watching content and accumulating rewards. The more you engage with the app, the more opportunities you have to collect diamonds and potentially convert them into money.
There’s nothing inherently wrong with a reward system like this. Some apps genuinely pay small amounts to users in exchange for their attention, and advertising revenue can help fund those payments.
The real question is how much you can earn, how reliably the app pays and whether the money you receive is worth the time you spend watching videos.
The £0.05 minimum withdrawal is surprisingly low
One thing I like about SceneRush is its minimum withdrawal requirement.
When I checked the cashout section, I found that you need to reach just £0.05 before you can request a withdrawal. That’s a very low threshold compared with many other reward apps I’ve reviewed.
For example, some apps make you accumulate £25 or £50 before you can even attempt to cash out. Others display impressive balances but set withdrawal requirements so high that reaching them could take a considerable amount of time.
SceneRush’s five-pence minimum is much more accessible.
Another positive is that I didn’t encounter the kind of three-hour countdown used by some competing apps. With those apps, you might have to wait for a timer to expire before you can withdraw your rewards. SceneRush doesn’t appear to impose that particular waiting requirement in the version I examined.
Once you have accumulated the required amount, you can attempt to cash out using your PayPal email address.
However, there’s one important caveat: a low withdrawal threshold makes it easier to request a payment, but it doesn’t guarantee that the payment will arrive.
I couldn’t independently verify that SceneRush consistently pays every user who reaches the minimum. So while the withdrawal conditions look more accessible, I would still approach the app with caution.
Can you actually make money with SceneRush?
Potentially, yes, but you should keep your expectations very low.
Apps that reward users for watching videos can sometimes pay small amounts of money. The business model is relatively simple: the developer generates revenue through advertising and may share a small portion of that revenue with users.
The important word here is small.
You shouldn’t expect to earn hundreds of pounds by watching episodes on your phone. Even earning a full pound could require a substantial amount of time, depending on the rewards available and how the app’s payment system operates.
SceneRush gives you 1,000 diamonds to start with, but the initial reward alone doesn’t tell you how quickly you can accumulate enough diamonds to withdraw additional money.
You also need to consider whether the rewards remain consistent as you continue using the app. An app might allow you to make a small withdrawal initially, but that doesn’t establish that it will continue paying at the same rate indefinitely.
I haven’t established that SceneRush stops paying after a certain number of withdrawals, so I wouldn’t claim that this definitely happens. However, it’s a possibility worth keeping in mind when evaluating any app that promises money in exchange for watching advertisements.
The real cost is your time
This is where I have the biggest concern about SceneRush.
Even if an app pays five pence, ten pence or occasionally more, you need to ask yourself how much time you’re spending to earn that money.
Imagine watching episode after episode, dealing with advertisements and repeatedly checking your diamond balance, only to end up with a few pennies.
Technically, you might have earned something. But was the time you invested worth it?
For most people looking to generate meaningful extra income, I don’t think this is an attractive proposition.
The developer can benefit from the advertising revenue generated by your activity, while your reward may be only a tiny fraction of the value of your time.
And there’s another issue: receiving one small payment doesn’t prove that future payments are guaranteed. Even if you successfully withdraw five pence or ten pence, you shouldn’t assume that every subsequent cashout will work or that the app will continue offering the same rewards.
That’s why I would never recommend relying on SceneRush as a source of income.
Is SceneRush a scam?
I wouldn’t automatically label SceneRush a scam simply because it relies on advertising or offers very small rewards.
The low cashout threshold is more accessible than the requirements found in many similar apps, and I didn’t encounter the same long countdown requirement that some competitors impose.
However, I also couldn’t independently establish that the app reliably pays users over the long term.
The fact that an app has relatively few downloads or reviews isn’t proof that it’s fraudulent. A newer or less popular app may simply have a smaller user base. Equally, a large number of downloads doesn’t guarantee that an app is trustworthy.
What matters is whether the reward system works as advertised, whether users receive their withdrawals and whether the earning rate makes sense for the time invested.
For SceneRush, I would treat the potential earnings as uncertain rather than assume that the app is either guaranteed to pay or guaranteed never to pay.
If you decide to try it, don’t spend hours watching videos just to reach a particular balance, and don’t provide more personal information than is necessary. Before entering your PayPal email, review the app’s privacy policy and understand how your information may be used.
Final verdict: Don’t expect to make meaningful money
SceneRush is another app that tries to turn your time and attention into small cash rewards. Its diamond system, 1,000-diamond welcome bonus and £0.05 minimum withdrawal make it look more accessible than many competing reward apps.
The absence of a three-hour withdrawal countdown is also a positive feature in the version I examined.
However, these advantages don’t change the fundamental problem: the potential earnings are very small, and I couldn’t verify that payments are consistently reliable.
You might manage to withdraw a few pennies. You might even receive several small payments. But you could also spend a considerable amount of time watching videos and advertisements without receiving the money you expected.
My recommendation is to keep your expectations extremely low and avoid treating SceneRush as a genuine income opportunity.
I’m not going to claim that it’s 100% fake, because I haven’t established that. But I also wouldn’t assume that a successful small withdrawal means the app will continue paying indefinitely.
Ultimately, your time is valuable. If you enjoy watching the episodes, you might find some entertainment in the app. But if you’re using SceneRush because you genuinely need to earn money, I think there are much better ways to spend your time.
Don’t let the promise of a few pennies turn into hours of watching advertisements. Before committing to any reward app, always ask yourself whether the money you might receive is worth the time you’re giving up.
