EarnNovel Review: Earn Real Money Reading Free Novels?
Welcome to my EarnNovel Review!
EarnNovel is an app that promises to reward you for reading books on your phone.
The idea is pretty simple: choose a free novel, spend some time reading, complete daily tasks, and collect rewards along the way. The app says you can earn money while enjoying stories from different genres.
But can you actually make money this way, or is there a catch? I tried EarnNovel to see how its rewards system works, and although I managed to earn a few cents, there are some things you should know before spending your time on it.

I tested and compared the best reward apps and sites, so you don't waste time on the fake ones. See which ones actually pay, how low the cash-out minimums go, and which offers are worth your time.
- ✅ Low cash-outs, some from just $1
- ✅ PayPal, gift cards and more
- ✅ Games, surveys and simple tasks
- ✅ Honest tips to avoid tracking problems
Earnings aren't guaranteed and results vary. Treat it as a bonus for time you already spend on your phone.
How Does EarnNovel Work?
When you first open EarnNovel, you are greeted with a selection of free novels that you can start reading straight away. You can choose from different stories, so if you enjoy reading fiction on your phone, the app may appeal to you.
One of the first things you will notice is a cash bonus advertised on the screen. In my case, the app showed a reward of up to £0.70. That sounds like a nice little bonus just for getting started, but pay attention to the wording: it says up to £0.70.
When I tapped the claim button, the app explained that an estimated £0.70 would be available after logging in. You can sign in using Facebook, Google, or TikTok.
However, if you would rather not connect one of your social media accounts, you can skip this step. The downside is that you will not receive the advertised bonus.
Personally, I am always a little cautious when an app asks me to connect a personal account just to access a small reward.
Signing in through a third-party service does not automatically mean your information will be misused, but it is worth understanding what data you are sharing and reviewing the app’s privacy policy before proceeding.
After logging in, you can start exploring the available novels and choose something you would like to read.
Can You Really Earn Money by Reading?
The main feature is called Read and Earn, and it works pretty much as you would expect.
Once you open a novel, you can swipe left or right to navigate the pages. Tapping the centre of the screen opens the reading menu, so getting started is straightforward.
While you read, a small section on the right-hand side displays a countdown. After a short period, the app gives you an opportunity to collect rewards. There is also a progress bar near the top of the screen that helps you keep track of your activity.
In other words, you are rewarded for spending time reading rather than having to complete complicated tasks or reach specific levels in a mobile game.
I was able to claim the initial £0.70 bonus after logging in, so the app did credit the reward to my in-app balance. However, there is an important distinction between receiving a reward inside the app and successfully withdrawing that money.
Just because you can see a balance increasing on your screen does not mean the same amount will eventually reach your PayPal account.
The Problem With Withdrawals
This is where I would be particularly careful with EarnNovel.
Although the app allowed me to accumulate £0.70, the initial withdrawal option I encountered was only £0.07.
That is a very small amount, and it is possible that you might be able to withdraw a few cents without too much difficulty. However, I cannot guarantee that the payment will actually arrive, as I have not established a reliable record of successful withdrawals from this app.
It is also important to understand that the amount displayed in your account is not necessarily money you can withdraw whenever you want. The app controls the rewards system, and its withdrawal conditions determine when you can request a payment.
Consequently, I would not recommend spending hours reading novels simply because you see your balance going up. Until you have successfully received a payment, it is better to treat those rewards as potential earnings rather than money you can count on.
The good news is that the amounts involved are relatively small, which makes the earning claims seem more realistic than some reward apps that promise surprisingly large sums for doing almost nothing.
Nevertheless, realistic-looking rewards are not proof that an app pays reliably.
How Does EarnNovel Make Money?
Another thing I noticed is that EarnNovel uses video advertisements as part of its rewards system.
After reading and collecting coins, you can go to the Read and Earn section on the dashboard. When your rewards are ready to claim, the app highlights the available amount in orange.
For example, I accumulated 3,000 coins. When I tapped the reward, a congratulations message appeared, followed by an offer to watch a video advertisement in exchange for an additional 4,162 coins.
Tapping the button triggers the advertisement.
This gives us a useful clue about how the app’s business model works. The developer can generate revenue by showing ads, while users receive coins as an incentive to keep reading and interacting with the app.
There is nothing inherently wrong with this arrangement. Plenty of free apps rely on advertising to support their services, and some share part of that revenue with users.
However, the important question is whether the rewards are worth the time you spend earning them.
If you have to read for several minutes, collect coins, and watch advertisements to increase your balance by a few cents, the financial return may be very limited.
I would approach EarnNovel as a reading app that offers small potential rewards, rather than a serious way to make money online.
Is EarnNovel Safe to Use?
I would not automatically label EarnNovel unsafe, but there are some privacy considerations worth keeping in mind.
First, the app encourages you to sign in through Facebook, Google, or TikTok to claim the initial bonus. Depending on the login method and permissions involved, you may share certain account information with the service.
Before connecting an account, check which information the app requests and whether you are comfortable sharing it.
Second, if you eventually want to withdraw your earnings through PayPal, you will need to provide the information required by the payment process. That is not unusual for reward apps, but it is another reason to consider whether you trust the company operating the service.
I have not independently verified how EarnNovel Days stores personal information, how it handles payment details, or whether its privacy practices meet your expectations.
For that reason, I would avoid sharing more information than necessary. You should also be wary of any request for your PayPal password, banking password, or other sensitive login credentials. A legitimate payment process should not require you to disclose those passwords directly to a reward app.
Ultimately, the decision comes down to how comfortable you feel sharing your information in exchange for a small and uncertain reward.
Is EarnNovel Worth Your Time?
If you genuinely enjoy reading novels on your phone, EarnNovel might be worth exploring. You get access to free stories, and the opportunity to collect a few coins while reading could be a nice extra.
However, if your main motivation is making money, I would keep your expectations low.
The rewards I observed were small, and watching advertisements is part of the earning process. Even if you manage to accumulate a decent-looking balance, there is no guarantee that you will successfully withdraw it.
I would also avoid spending money or making purchases just to increase your rewards. There is little point in paying for something when your original goal was to earn a little extra cash.
If you decide to try the app, start by checking the withdrawal requirements and testing whether a small payment works before investing significant time in reading.
Final Verdict: Can EarnNovel Pay You?
EarnNovel offers an interesting combination of free novels and small reading rewards.
I was able to claim an initial £0.70 bonus, and the app also provides opportunities to collect coins and earn additional rewards by watching advertisements.
Compared with apps promising huge amounts of money for simple tasks, its relatively small rewards seem more believable.
However, that does not establish that the developer will consistently pay users.
The main drawbacks are the uncertain withdrawal process, the time required to accumulate rewards, the advertisements, and the personal information you may need to share.
My recommendation is to approach EarnNovel Days with caution. If you already enjoy reading novels, you might find it worth trying, provided you are comfortable with its privacy requirements. Just do not treat the balance in your account as guaranteed income.
There is a possibility of earning a few cents, but I would not expect much more than that without evidence of consistent payouts.
And remember, your time has value. If you spend hours reading and watching advertisements only to discover that you cannot withdraw your rewards, the experience may not be worth it after all.
