When I opened the game for the first time, I was greeted with a screen showing an image of a woman that appears to be AI-generated, along with a message explaining how players can supposedly earn money.
The instructions are simple:
- Play gamesand collect enough cash.
- Withdraw the moneyto your account.
- Enjoyyour earnings.
The screen even shows a cash balance of £425, suggesting this amount can be obtained for free by playing the game. Naturally, this creates the impression that real money is being earned. But that illusion quickly starts to fall apart once the gameplay begins.
How the Gameplay Works
The gameplay follows a familiar formula used by many so-called “cash reward games.” The objective is simple: the board contains several tiles with different objects, such as:
- Sofas
- Televisions
- Clocks
- Household items
The theme is basically a cozy home environment. Your task is to tap tiles and match three identical ones. When three identical tiles are collected, they disappear, clearing space on the board. This style of gameplay is often referred to as tile matching, and it is very common in casual mobile games.
However, Cozy Tiles Match adds an extra element. Some tiles are labeled as cash tiles.
Whenever you match three of these tiles, the game claims you have earned money. For example, after matching a few tiles, a message appeared saying I had earned £13.80.
A Claim button then appeared on the screen. When I pressed it, the money was added to the balance displayed at the top of the screen.
At this point, the game immediately encourages players to tap the Withdraw button. But there is a condition.
The Level 5 Withdrawal Requirement
When I clicked Withdraw, the game showed the following message: “Withdraw through Level 5.”

Cozy Tiles Match follows the same formula as many deceptive reward apps. It promises easy money, shows fake balances growing rapidly, and encourages players to watch ads for larger rewards. In reality, the money displayed inside the game is simply a number on a screen.
The app’s real purpose is to generate advertising revenue, not to pay players. If you see advertisements claiming that Cozy Tiles Match can earn you hundreds of dollars through PayPal, the safest assumption is simple: the money is not real.
